BFG KO3 vs MT Baja Boss AT

Getting new tires on my '22 2500 6.7 for Christmas and have narrowed it down to the BFGoodrich KO3 and the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT. I live in Northern IL where we definitely see all 4 seasons with alot of rain and snow which is my biggest concern when it comes to tires. I do not go off roading but it may see a trail or 2 here and there. Any insight on these to help my decision?
 
I have run the KO2s and MTs on my PW. I like the MTs better, but had some issues after about 25K miles, some suspension related.
They do get a little noiser after about 15K miles
I've ran BFGs for years, ATs and MTs. No issues.
Currently running Kenda Kelver RTs and like them.
I've run all of them thru 4 seasons and off road
 
IMHO, tires for a Cummins truck vs Power Wagon are night/day.

Also IMHO, BFG's on a Cummins truck are terrible. Maybe the KO3's are better, but the KO2's sucked on my 04 2500. They were once good, but no longer.

I'd be looking at Falken, Toyo, or Coopers.
 
I recently put new tires on my 22 3500. After going through a lot of research, reviews and recommendations, I ended up getting Falken Wildpeak A/T4 and love them. No issues whatsoever. I've had Toyo Open Country's before but I wanted something a little different while still being snow rated. Being that you're in Northern IL, I would go with a snow rated tire.
 
I ordered new KO3’s for my 2500 Cummins. I have 45k miles on my KO2’s and liked them. They are good in snow.

On my 1500 I had Wildpeak AT3/W's and I loved them. Unfortunately they are discontinued and I heard the AT4/W's are not as good as the AT3/W's. I have also considered the Toyo AT III but the Baja Boss AT is at the top of my list right now

My vote is the Boss AT. I’ve ran them on my trucks the past 5 seasons in Idaho. So no stranger to Hot summers (100°+) and Cold slick winters (-30°). I get about 50k miles out of them, but some people could get more. I’m a stickler about tread wear and life so I replace sooner than others do I’m sure. They wear evenly and true… again I’m a stickler rotating and rebalance every 5k miles. Currently running 35x12.5/20 125F on my 23’ Ram 2500. By far the best tire I’ve ran over the years. Road noise is subjective, my loud may be your quite or the other way around. I believe them to be quiet for an aggressive tire and they haven’t drove me nuts doing 14-16hr straight road trips like I’ve experienced with other tires. (Cooper STT Pro - By the end, I felt like I was in a torture test! Haha!)
As far as the KO3, I don’t have much to say about them. From what I’ve read, they improved the wet traction and wear compound to help carry heavier loads for current and future vehicles (EV’s), snow and ice are nominally better over the KO2’s but that’s not saying much. My son runs the KO3 on his Taco and said they are OK nothing special if that helps.
I’m thinking of getting the KO3 for my next set, but they will be strictly a 3 season set up in a 37x12.5 18 for a better road and gravel road experience with more sidewall. Come winter, the Boss AT’s will go back on.

I just got the ko3's put on my truck. I only have about 1k on them 1/3 of that is dirt and some mud. The tires have been great, super quiet on the hwy, great traction in the loose gravel / washboards and then planted in the mud. In the past I have not been a BFG fan. I figured I would give these a try. So far I am happy. The only downside so far that I can see is they do collect and throw some gravel around.

I'm running Wildpeak AT3's now, roughly 30k on them, and they drive me nuts. Someone warned me they get much louder with age - wish I listened. They perform great but, I'll give up some performance for a quieter tire. Any experience with Falken compared to what you're running now? Thanks
 
They seem very quiet to me but my wife says that I don’t hear well. I don’t haul heavy often and they see some gravel roads. They are wearing well. I would buy again.
 
I used to run nothing but the Goodyear Wrangler UltraTerrain ATs on my 4Runner and Tundra. They are only available through Discount Tire, and were amazing in every terrain on the 4Runner...

When I bought my new Jeep Wrangler, I ordered the Goodyears. But, they couldn't get them in time for my appointment, so offered me the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs for the same price. I agreed.
They turned out to be great tires and surpassed the Goodyears in the snow and mud and were phenomenal when I took my Jeep rock crawling for the first time in Utah.

I just ordered a set of them in 255/85R17 for the Ram.
 
Getting a set of KO3's in 315/70R17 installed on my PW next week. According to the Tirerack rankings, they're supposed to be very quiet (and actually very good overall) but who knows if there's a little payola involved by BFG. I had the KO2's on my Titan years ago and loved them, hopefully the next gen are even better.

I've heard nothing but good things about the new KO3s and was tempted to try them, but they weren't available in the size I wanted.

Mr Pizza Cutter himself! They have a few sizes they don't support yet.. I would have preferred a true 35x12.50R17, but in comparing the 35x12.5 KO2 against the 315/70R17, they're pretty similar. Per Tirerack, they have the same tread width (10.2"), KO2 is slightly bigger diameter at 34.5 (vs 34.4 for the KO3) and the KO3 is slightly heavier (70lbs vs 66). But the KO3 has higher load rating, as well, and (in theory?) may be quieter, which I really have an affinity for.

Given the option I would go mickeys every single time. I’m a bfg fanboi but I’ve never liked KOs. I’ve got a set of Baja boss (mt) on my jeep and they’re buttery smooth
