Actually I find the yt video here in Hdr.
Looks good, I want to try, anyway you can give a step by step of electronics for lighted ones? I didn't quite follow how you wired it. You also cut your door like in the video?I was thinking the same but If the guy in the gas station parking lot did it I can give it a try ,this is the final result.
Which part numbers did you use, and did you cut the mirrors or the door?Put them on my 2019 Ram 3500 Big horn
A little modification and the fit great
Fold ,puddle light, blinker , heater and mirror adjustments work
Extend is manual. Gonna work on the front and rear lights. Might put them on a rocker switch
The door has to be cut its not bad from what i have seenWhich part numbers did you use, and did you cut the mirrors or the door?

Looks like the mirrors I would need are:Any update on this? I just picked up a 2019 Laramie 2500 and I love everything about the truck except the stupid dang mirrors. I put the Chevy style ones on my 5500 and they are great, but the 2500 has surround view cameras on the mirrors and I’d love to keep that feature. Anybody done a 23+ mirror swap with the cameras? (I’m kinda afraid to find out how much they cost though, haha)
$600ish on eBay, $900ish from the online parts places. Price each. How much are they?

Not sure on BCM changes off the top of my head, but I think Jimmy may have posted them before.Looks like the mirrors I would need are:

I'm willing to buy and try if someone who knows the BCM stuff better than me can help guide a little as needed. @Jimmy07 @jsalbre @John312008 any of you guys think you might have some insight?
Yes, I’m aware of the cutting and drilling, and I don’t mind that (even though it’s definitely not ideal). I’m a mechanical engineer, machinist, and fabricator, so the cutting and mods don’t bother me at all. But I’m not much of an electrical/computer guy, so that’s the part that gives me pause. But I hate the stock mirrors so much it’s worth time/effort/cost as long as I can have someone in my corner for sorting out the electromechanical side of things. Not sure on BCM changes off the top of my head, but I think Jimmy may have posted them before.
That said, you’re going to have to do some cutting and drilling IIRC to get those mirrors attached to your truck doors.
I’ve got the fully loaded 2023 mirrors swapped in on my truck, and to get everything to work, it all depends on how far you want to take things to get them to work like factory.Yes, I’m aware of the cutting and drilling, and I don’t mind that (even though it’s definitely not ideal). Thanks a ton for the thorough reply!I’ve got the fully loaded 2023 mirrors swapped in on my truck, and to get everything to work, it all depends on how far you want to take things to get them to work like factory.
There’s a few ways you can go about doing it.
If you want the mirrors to function like factory, with utility lights and all, it’s quite a bit of work. You need the mirrors, 2023 door modules, mirror switch plus the main master door switch trim bezel (the telescoping mirror switch does not fit in the same trim bezel as the convex mirror switch), the 2023 memory seat module, a 2023 BCM, and a bunch of custom wiring to add all the missing circuits for the telescope and utility lights features.
Also, if you do it that way, swapping in the 2023 bcm is going to cause you to lose the use of the horn switch on the steering wheel and the left steering wheel buttons that control the instrument cluster. The horn itself will still sound off in all other situations (lock doors, remote start, etc), just not when you press the horn switch on the steering wheel. You would have to add a wire on the BCM and run it to a momentary aux switch that you can press to sound the horn. To get the left steering wheel switches working again, I had someone set up a man-in-the-middle module for me that remaps those buttons.
A different way to go about it is to install only the mirrors and 2023 door modules (plug n play). That’ll keep your surround view cameras working, and your power convex mirrors and power folding feature. You’ll have to manually extend the mirrors, and the utility lights won’t work, and you won’t be able to utilize the factory telescoping mirror switch cluster. You can make a couple changes with alfaobd and the auto fold feature will work.
Then, if you want to make them power telescope and make the utility lights work, you would basically have to put those functions on some auxiliary switches, using custom wiring and relays, and timer relays (I believe this is the route someone else in this thread went).
I don't understand what you mean by "you won’t be able to utilize the factory telescoping mirror switch cluster"? Can you elaborate?A different way to go about it is to install only the mirrors and 2023 door modules (plug n play).
