3rd 6.4 maybe.

I am really thinking Firebird had it right, bad service. One truck is a shame two trucks are a bit of a red flag.

I don't know how a dealership could cause failing motors due to poor oiling assuming level is correct.

This is a bad batch of motors. Diesels are having similar issues, albeit pointed towards cam and lifters.

IDK what is going on with Mopar-sourced hard engine parts these days but wow... Tons of issues.

Sorry to hear.

if true, that means to me this problem is MUCH more widespread than it appears.
My PW had definite lifter issues when I traded it in with 4300 miles. It’s an issue for sure. But I will say it 100000000 times, it’s a supplier issue. Cummins, Hemi, Ls/Lt, Big blocks all have failures. Why? No other reason than supplier issue. All hydraulic rollers

Apparently Ford is having some issues with the 7.3 gasser and failing lifters too.

Did you ever figure anything out. Weird part is we have a truck that we can’t seem to figure the issue out but it is wiping out motors and severely scoring a cylinder. A couple times on cylinder 8 and now on 6/8. Weird situation and can’t seem to figure out what’s causing the problems but they go very little miles and can’t seem to think its a coolant issue but one side of the cylinder scores and not the other side

Injectors, vacuum leak, fuel pump, random sensor causing lean condition... could be many things.

Being told that another thinks it’s a coolant issue of some sort. Some kind of air bubble or something or no coolant flow through the heater core or something as it’s only messing up one side of the piston and scoring the cylinder on one side. I thought potential lean condition as well but the top of the piston looks good and its just the side that messed up. Does that seem to make sense? Thanks

Wow, interesting. I would think dealer could pressure test cooling system to rule out any of that but who knows.
