I am waiting for my 3rd 6.4 to be installed in my 2022 Ram 2500.
Ram says there are no 6.4 hemi's available in the US.
Anyone else having problems with the 6.4?

Wow that’s very unusual. Mine has 46k on it now and hasn’t had any problems.

What has happened with each engine? Same failure?

Same issue, different cylinder.
This one is severe scoring of the #1. Truck has 26,000 miles. The engine being replaced has 17,000

Now that is really wild! What oil do you use? Has it been the same in all 3 engines?

Scoring of the cylinder walls? What was the symptom? Oil consumption? Misfire/loss of compression? Same exact thing with all 3 engines?

Oil consumption.
Never been anywhere but the dealership I bought it from.
Odd thing, a co-worker bought a 6.4 Hemi from the same dealership, same year, he is on engine 2.

I would be thinking more of an incompetent dealer than 6.4 issues. That's just too many coincidences

Sadly that is the conclusion I am coming to as well. Especially as the 6.4 receives such good reviews and when the engine was running it was awesome.

On a scale of 1-10 how hard are you driving it! Thats pretty wild usually scored cyl is from either abuse or lack of oil its an odd one for sure

Sorry I said "maybe" because there are no 6.4 hemi's for them to install so i wait. . . Not to brag but I take care of my vehicles. The first time I noticed the oil pressure was lower than usual and checked the oil, it was down 1/2 a quart. I asked the dealership if that was "normal". They added more and said watch it. . .Duh. No leaks, no black exhaust no tell tale signs but the engine kept using oil. Dealership tried a few "fixes" for Hemi's and none worked. Oil added and drive it. The I got a LOW OIL PRESSURE warning and took it in. That was engine 1 (or2) This truck is my daily driver, 17 miles one way to work, speeds are from residential to highway, 25-55 MPH. It is also the vehicle I tow my 26 foot 5th wheel for camping. Longest trip is about 250 miles one way. The dealership sold, so I am working with new people, Same problems, oil consumption after 10,000 miles. Did three oil consumption tests, 1,000 Miles then two at 500 miles. They found lower oil and scoped the engine and found severe scoring, so now I wait for engine 3. Still under full warranty as it isn't three years old!

I am really thinking Firebird had it right, bad service. One truck is a shame two trucks are a bit of a red flag.

I am just about to hit 68K on my 2019 with zero problems. I had a 6.4 before this one with no problems as well. What you are going through is not normal.

"Ram says there are no 6.4 hemi's available in the US." Then I'd request the dealer yank a 6.4 out of one of the new trucks in his yard. 3rd engine is BS.

I would trade it in and let the dealer deal with the fix.
The dealer will give you as much as its worth without an engine which is nothing…. They wont want to sit on that kinda money waiting for an engine they would rather the customer sit on the payments

Mine has 38000kms and is at the dealership waiting on parts. First went in for a engine tick that didn't go away, the diagnosis turned out to be scalped lifters on the right bank. Truck has been at the dealership for one month, still waiting on parts. Mine was also going through oil, I believe they will be doing an oil consumption test if they can ever fix it. I'm not exactly sure witch part they are waiting for but it's not back ordered so I don't know what is taking so long.
