2024 Order Tracking & Discussion

We are in a unique transition time, making this 10 times more interesting than normal ordering. Lots of fun to be had!

Interesting! Is that an inspection in mexico or at the destination dealership? I'm guessing dealership to inspect for transit damage?
In Mexico, it has to clear assembly Quality before it leaves the plant and the dealer gets invoiced

Interesting day for me today.

This morning, a text and email told me truck is built and "ready to ship". The tracker did not change though, it has said "Built" since March 10th. Ship and ETA still TBD. No window sticker.

I happened to click the big "Features" button in the email and it took me to the Owners Support+ page. Never done that before, but it said VIN: 3C63R3FL6RG274339 (IN TRANSIT) at the top. Wonder if that updated today or it has said that forever? May be worth a click for those of you in different stages.

Tonight, I checked tracker a few times and no change. Clicked window sticker for the hell of it and it is now valid. My Limited Longhorn is ~$7500 less MSRP than when I ordered. Base and Level 1 are reduced, all other options the same.

Thanks for the info. I got the same email yesterday. I just clicked on the features and sure enough I got the same results as you. . It’s funny that the tracker showed that the truck was built six days ago, but I didn’t get the email until yesterday. I also signed up to get text alerts about my vehicles progress. Hopefully our trucks will be on the boat that’s arriving at Davisville, Rhode Island on 3/31/24

Exact same results for me yesterday for my Limited. Base price dropped $3890 and limited level one package dropped $4000. Total price drop of $7890. Sure hope the 10% RAM rebate in effect at time of order is still valid!

So, this is the first time I’ve ordered a vehicle. When I sat down with the dealer to add the options that I wanted the price came to $90,000. Today I am able to see the window sticker and the total price is $81,300. My question is, are they going to hold on that $90k price or does the sticker dictate the sale price? This is all new to me.

The price will be adjusted down to the new price. However make sure you still get your pre agreed discounts. For example, let’s say you paid 81, 000 on the 90,000 That would have been a 10% discount from the dealer off MSRP. Your new price should be 81000 - 10 % discount = $72,900. I totally expect some dealers to suprise customers at pickup that hey the msrp dropped and it’s lower than our agreed price. So awesome you won. You’re saving $700! Customers would be thrilled. Dealer would come up thousands in extra profits. Don’t rush through delivery and make sure you get your new price minus previous agreed discounts and any rebates. This money is coming directly from the manufacturer so the dealer doesn’t get a dime of it.

I hope that is the case! Initially I've been told I could keep the 10% manufacturer discount from last month upon delivery or accept the new lower MSRP but not both. I would have thought, as you indicated , i would get the 10% off the new lower MSRP. Not sure why that wouldn't be the case.

Thank you Sir..

My understanding is it is NOT the case. The 10% off rebate they kept extending was their way of market correction for trucks that are now overpriced in the current climate. Rather than keeping that going and looking silly, they bit the bullet and re-MSRP'd, including existing trucks on lots. Then some new incentive (but smaller) gets paired with the new MSRP, and should be "comparable" to the 10%.

So it's old MSRP and old incentive, or new MSRP and new incentive. No cross pollination.

If someone can convince a dealer to do 10% off the new MSRP they won't get that rebate from stellantis that's out of their margin and holdback. Good luck!

For me, the reduction is only about 7% of original MSRP, so I keep refreshing the incentive page to find the new incentive and it won't give one. If it gives me another 3%, I will come out ahead because tax liability is pre-rebate and I'm in a 7.75% county. So reducing the sale price 10% gives me another 0.8% savings due to tax.

Anyway, I hope mine boarded a train :)

I'm late to the party for 2024 builds. I've been torn between a Rebel or just a regular Laramie for a couple of months now, but I finally settled on one and went and ordered a Rebel today. Big difference with the new MSRP. When I first built this truck, it was $95k. Now its $87k, with the new pricing. Dealer told me about 90-days for delivery.
