Have a 2021 ram 6.7L and I am having an issue where under mid to heavy thottle (boost in the 15psi) range it will cut out and buck and stumble so bad that i need to let off and milk it, it will continue to idle sporadically for a bit. It doesnt do this if you are babying it under very light throttle. It was throwing a check engine light for NOX sensor which dealer replaced, now no check engine lights but still experiencing the same issue. Could it be the fuel filter? Seems strange there are no codes being thrown...Any suggestions?

Fuel filter would be the first thing to check for sure next would be lift pump pressure

Yeah, i'll ask them about that. The dealer is saying injectors may be bad. Only 60k miles.... I would also think injectors would be throwing codes but we shall see.

No i doubt the injectors would be at fault maybe the injector harness but that would be a stretch since its only hard throttle

Who did the fuel filter last and what brand was used? Where was it purchased as well?

Yea, lots of fake/inferior filters making their way into supply chain.

If you got something cheap off AMZ/eBAY, it's likely fake. Hell, I think some have even reported dealers sourcing filters from questionable sources.

Not saying that's it, but easy to fix.

I’ve heard on here of no starts after a filter change with a cheapo but not his condition. Quite possible though! Could be about 500 other things too but it’s a start.

Last filter change was at the dealer exactly a year ago, due to be done. Dealer said #2 injector toast. Going to have them bore scope to make sure no scoring on cylinder wall.
