I've had this problem since the end of June. It's been in the dealer 7 times. I've been through the whole dealer game, correct air filter, stuck EGR, DPF sensor, now MAF. I'm dropping it off today since they finally got a new MAF from Canada. It took 6 weeks to get here. The problem started at 18k miles and now I have 34k. I asked if I have this problem again will it be covered under warranty, since it's a documented / ongoing problem that they can't solve. The guy told me no, it will be all on me. I read on previous posts that the DPF system is covered up to 50k miles, so at least there's some hope.
I was looking into just getting a delete kit, but the 22 ECM's apparently can't be reprogrammed. Truthfully, I'm not all that keen on that mod anyway. I do wonder if the Banks Monster Ram Power Pack system will correct this problem since it's measuring incoming airflow, pressure density and exhaust backpressure. Has anyone done the intake and exhaust mod and has it helped with the regen issue? I know emissions requirements are hurting all the truck manufactures, but how can they say only drive the truck under load and for long distances,. Which is what the dealer in Coo's Bay told me the 3rd time the check engine light came on while on vacation. Oh, they also got me for 89 dollars for a air filter since they said it was not the correct part number, even though I just replaced it two weeks before with a filter that I got from the local dealer.
