Idle Speed Control / PTO Speed

Can AlfaOBD or JScan enable the PTO Prep option sales code LBN or LBV enough to control the idle speed to say boost idle speed when jump starting a vehicle?

The wording isn't exactly the same but I think I saw the idle up when connecting to the engine computer (not the body computer as per usual) with AlfaOBD.

I think you can use cruise control when in park to set the truck at high idle, if I understand what youre asking about correctly.

You can, that's on all Cummins trucks (no idea about Hemis), but there is also a separate option code (XF6 or something, I don't recall) that will have the truck idle up automatically in response to higher voltage draws. That is in the engine section of AlfaOBD I believe, I plan on tinkering with that once I get more things hooked up to my truck to generate enough load.

The manual idle up is different and is present on on all diesels. It's not available on Hemis.

You know in this particular case I agree - I am pretty sure the Hemi can get dual alternators too so why not..

Somebody (maybe Jimmy but I am not sure) told me in another thread that there is no associated hardware. I don’t see why there would be. I won’t be able to test it till the spring at best though.

I’ve tried to get this to work on my Hemi multiple times to no avail. I can get the screens to show but it says “change not saved” or something along those lines when I try to set it in the instrument cluster.
