What is a good deal these days, is this one?

Also you are not sending the $ until after you have a signed copy of the build sheet, buyers order, etc - so that if I (or whoever you work with) gets hit by a train, you have copies of everything to execute the deal at the end.
Thanks for this reminder. If I could bother you with a question:

I see all sorts of deals for 2023 models. Ranging from 1500 rebate to 15% off MSRP. If I custom order a 2024 through the website, I have to pay MSRP or there's negotiation room for these as well?

I ordered from Mark Dodge and would do it again.

With that said, I definitely would try and find a 2023 - Factory rebates, bonus cash available and lower MSRP than a 2024.

quick glance online and there are over 300 3500 SRW short bed crew cabs with the HO available nationwide

can't find something to live with? order the 2024 and you'll still get the 4-5% under invoice, just no rebates

also - did you get the bonus cash offer off Ram's website (didn't see it reflected in your proposal)? Shows up when I go to search inventory. Works for 2022 and 2023 2500/3500s

You're not going to order through "the website." You work a deal with the dealer and place an order with them.

If it’s a 2022, make sure it doesn’t fall in the vin numbers for the Aisin Transmission K-1 Snap Ring failure. That will be a nightmare for you if it failes, ask me how I know at 5,300 miles.

For us, we are currently discounting 11% off MSRP before any manufacturer rebates, affiliates, or other coupons. The 2024s don't have any rebates at the moment, but you have the ability to capture what is available at time of order (N/A currently) or time of delivery (hopeful, but not guaranteed). In either case, so long as you have an order with your name/address on the POC as @Brutal_HO described as well, you are price protected from any increases while waiting for production.

To be clear, if I order a new custom truck from you, would I be able to access this 11% off MSRP?

There are also other non-Ram (affiliate) incentives often available.

USAA, PenFed (and other mil related banking/insurance)
Truecar, Costco
Treadlightly (I believe you join for $100 and get $1k)

Most require pre-qual time/status. And for some you're basically signing up to be marketed to but can use the incentive code with any dealer once you have it.

They're generally not stackable but the dealer can help yo navigate those.

It's worth a look (or search) through this (mega) thread for some ideas. https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/price-negotiated-from-msrp.134/unread

When I did mine, no Ram incentives, but had $1,000 USAA and a rebate from Allstate and I don't even have any Allstate plans. When I applied for the USAA, my dealer called freaked out that I was shopping him (again) after having a POC.

100% ! That's available to everyone :)
Ok. This is a big deal for me. What I don’t get is how come other dealers don’t compete….the ones I’ve talked to are very cagey and basically say no discount ….I might have to go down there and do business with you, if everything checks out.

It's not that they're not competitive, just a different business plan. They are likely competitive against the other dealers within a driving distance, which are likely of similar size, to an extent. And they all have the same general outlook on how their businesses run. We are built for efficiency and volume, instead or trying to make the most 'gross profit' per transaction, we hope to just do more transactions than anyone else :) The more we grow, the more efficient we get - which allows for better discounts, which provides more growth. I'll post up more on this later but for example we just finished an expansion that is a separate facility on our property that ONLY does PDI and processing of new vehicle arrivals. There is fantastic efficiency in that, and it means that our local clientele will never be waiting behind a slew of HD factory orders for them to get an oil change either. But for other dealers with a different business metric, they may have invested that money into other things to give them a bigger presence in other ways.

The majority of the Mark Dodge buyers on here (and Granger as well) probably went through the same steps/emotions ...oh - some dealers is offering a deal too good to be true - yeah right...well, seems like a lot of posters keep vouching for them, maybe I'll reach out...contacted them and nothing seems sketchy/out of place, order placed...truck shows up and some drive down, some fly down and some have it shipped. Price checks out. Back in 2021/2022 the price protection really made a big difference, MSRPs were increasing $1k/month almost, just about everybody's truck was delivered with a MSRP of a couple grand higher than when it was ordered, but the buyers still paid based upon the original price

They were also offering this same "discount" back during the covid years when trucks were in stupid short supply and dealers were adding market adjustments of $5-15k over MSRP.

I have a couple local dealers that are normally pretty competitive, when I showed them the Mark Dodge price, they laughed at me and said there was no way I could buy a truck at that...now those dealers have come back down to reality and are back being competitive again. All depends on what path you want to take
