2023 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

The new one on 2023 is even better. I wanted it, but I can't afford a limited either. I hope to add it later
A buddy of mine bought a 2021 longhorn with that new digital rear view mirror on his 3500 dually. He really likes it.

now i'm looking into extended warranty prices...so far the best ones i was informed about were... Granger, chrysler direct, and ziegler. i'm hop9ing to get a comparrison before my truck comes in.
I ordered my 2023 ram 2500 bighorn 4x4 almost 2 weeks ago. Way up in Idaho. Now I'm trying to get the VON#, so I can track it. I didn't get the toggles, but I'm not sure what you mean by useless knob?

i believe granger is the cheapest $50 over invoice, with Ziegler as a close second. Im about to use granger for one or two actually.

With some of the stories I keep hearing (and have experienced myself) with really unreasonable times to even get appointments at dealerships, I'd sure take a look at other plans that allow you to go any shop.

Any third party warranty places cover with aftermarket upgrade parts, like suspension kits (carli), Banks engine components or anything emissions compliant.

the ones i looked at with max care coverage said...." Maximum Care is an extension of the original 3 year/36,000 mile factory warranty and covers over 5000 parts on the vehicle. The only parts and labor NOT covered by Maximum Care are: Glass, plastic lenses, and light bulbs The body and paint items, including soft trim Snow plows, winches, and trailer hitches Catalytic converter (this is only covered by the emissions warranty) Normal wear items such as tires, manual clutch assembly, brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, belts, and wipers Battery Hybrid components Beyond that, everything mechanical and electrical on the vehicle is fully covered....... so basically you also have top have an emissions warranty? (i think)

yes i noticed gra

Granger was the best option, but now i have to consider the deductible (100, 200, or zero deductible). maybe the 100 is in the middle but does that mean i pay 100 for every time i have to bring it in for anything? of course, I hope I never need to bring it in except for routine stuff, but my luck has never been that awesome.

For those that have received your orders, can you tell me what trailer plugs came standard on your bumper? Mine came with the 12 pin and 7 pin and I’m not sure why. I was really hoping I had 4 and 7 because I have no need for the 12. And no I did not order the tow wired option for trailer, that slipped through on some Laramie orders.

I agree... with the quotes I got I want to go with Granger as well. I have been e-mailing Jackie Hamey ([email protected]). Now i just have to decide the price and deductibles, ....... and of course.... WAIT (which is going to be a LONG dragged out wait) for my Truck to finally arrive, so that i can go pick it up and call her to get started on it. She was very quick with responses and quoted me right away with all 3 options, so i could compare them. Ziegler was the highest price and Chrysler direct was the middle priced.

Doesn't that depend on the trim and model?

Me too. I was hoping for the 4 pin connector. I've not gotten around to checking out the 12 pin connector. Check this out, it's a thread for the 12 pin connector:

Never? Not even when the factory gets close to expiring?
Never. The way I look at it is "the house always wins". Zero shot a company would sell something that negatively affects their bottom line. There's probably a mathematical equation out there that shows the risk vs reward of running in protected and paying our of pocket vs buying the insurance.

At the end of the day I'd imagine you're better off in the long run not buying it.
