4.10 Gearing Daily mpg not towing?

Yeah, but the cost per mile was roughly the same. I tracked it for a year between 87, 89, and ethanol free. Maybe my 3mpg was off, but not much. Range does increase.
Cost wouldn't bother me if I didn't have to make as many stops on a long trip.

Did the same trip except with between 1500 & 1800 pounds.

This time I filled up right before starting and stopping and made 19.3 hand calculated where the dash said 20.1.

On the way there it got up to 21.7.
I find that very hard to believe with a gasser unless you didnt get over 50mph

Most of this trip was 60 MPH like this picture shows.

Was it all highway? And are you a gasser? This seems on par with diesel numbers.

Anyone see any improvement of running higher octane and better towing MPG?
I have a 6.4 Hemi with 4.10 axle ratio.

'21 Laramie CCSB 6.4 with 4.10 and still running stock tires. I'm getting 13-14 overall. 15-16 on long highway drives and I drive 70-80 most of the time, but factor in some in-town on either end of the trip and it will be back down under 15. I've seen no difference with 89 vs. 87. If I idle more than usual, get into the throttle more than usual, it will knock 1 mpg or a bit more off the average, doesn't take much.

Doing hand calculating the dash mpg indicator is always about 1 mpg higher than by hand. The always optimistic electronics :).
