2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

What's the current guesstimate on how long is taking to get out of just D status
Took me 4 months.

My dad ordered 10 weeks after I did, but went out of D status only 2.5 weeks after mine did, and shipped 2.5 weeks before mine.

Similar trucks, but not identical. Both CC LB Laramie 3500 HO’s with auto level. He has more bells and whistles. No apparent rhyme or reason to the build time. Same dealership.

Yeah, I'm 7 months in now. Truck is built since 7/27 but not shipped and no info is available.

Lots of trucks built after mine shipped before mine. Zero info.

I guess the next question is how long people sat in D1 to being built

All MY22 Orders will be built by 10/29/22, thats the last day of production. 10/31/22 is the MY23 1st day of production.
my order was May 6th, 3 months in D and 1 month in D1 - pretty loaded Big Horn

I have seen an order placed at the beginning of Aug and delivered by the end of Aug - base model Big horn I believe with base options.

That would be great. Mine is a MY22 limited.. decently loaded... So heres hoping it's that soon. Ordered 08/26 still D status.

That seems really late in the year for a ‘22 order. Usually the cutoff is in June or a July.

For those late 21 and early 22 orders, I saw this on FB, maybe it will help, maybe it wont but it might help with expediting.

I called Ram Cares this morning and found out my truck as well as numerous others are still at the factory due to a recall on the ECM. Recall was issued on it on 09-01-22, however Ram Tracker showed it shipped on 07-27. No ETA on when the ECM will be replaced and when it will ship out. Who knows now when it will actually make it onto a rail car....Anyone else hearing about an ECM recall on these?

yes this hit the news block a few days ago

@jk2119

Looks like we are in the same holding pattern. Mine shows Vehicle Built Jul-21-2022 and no movement since. I have been getting "canned" responses from RAM Cares (email). Please post their number if you can. I will try the direct phone route. I actually prefer the ECU recall being done before it ships from the factory. I surely do not want a $100K paperweight. I expect the truck to be operational and trouble free. This is my first RAM, and I am getting cold feet.

lol no reason to get cold feet. ive owned pleanty of cummins, and pleanty of duramax's. I can tell you without a doubt the Ram in my experience is far superior both in pulling characteristics, and well... everyone knows the interior crushes the competition hands down no contest. I test drove a lariat F450 just for interest sake before i made purchase on my next ram, and it was as if i was sitting in a fisher price plastic factory, with the most dated center stack that iam sure thomas edison had a input on. Stay the course... every truck has their issues. I have a "temporary" 19 duramax denali dually right now while i wait for my 5500 laramie to be built, and this will be the 3rd duramax ive had with the dreaded coolant tank sensor gone bad... whole tank has to be pulled. yay.
