Re-Ordered My 2020 Ram 3500 HO Laramie Longhorn

How many miles on the Odometer?

I still can't figure out why my truck had 21 miles on it when I picked it up, the day after the dealer says they got it, other than every swingin had it out for a hot rod test drive.

Mine had 14 on it the day it arrived at the dealership, that's after the salesman filled her up with $98 worth of diesel.

I've never been in a Ram plant, but every modern GM plant i've ever been in, they have an in-ground dyno and run each vehicle through a set program to make sure the engine an drive train are functioning to spec. That ends up putting a few miles on the vehicle.

Earlier today I got a wild hair and went by my dealers lot even though they were closed. Look what I found sitting on their lot with the doors unlocked and no keys to be found.
That is so not cool. Nice looking rig, though and hope it was worth the wait.

Update : in regard to delivery

I just spoke with my dealer now that my vehicle has arrived and it looks like everything go for Thursday. They have the Bed Step in stock and installing it today. They are still waiting on the 2 additional KeyFobs to arrive (making a total of 4) and they should be here Wednesday sometime. So the dealer said it might be Thursday before they get the vehicle ready for delivery.

I just informed my Insurance company about the vehicle changes and also called my bank checking on a few things in case the dealer doesn't come up with a good rate.

I will post more info and pictures once I take delivery and check it out.

Updare : 24 hour test drive before I take delivery

Well, I couldn't wait. I dropped by the dealer to get the loan app started and I got a chance to take the new truck on a 24 hour test drive. I will be returning the truck tomorrow morning and return some signed papers.

The Bed step is in and the 2 additional keyfobs are as well. They will be installing then tomorrow. I will be spending some time with my friend in service while he is doing some changes in the truck computer for me to make sure it is the way I want it. I will be returning to the dealership Thursday morning to finalize the deal.

During my test drive today I wasn't able to find out what the speed limiter is set to as I did reach a speed o just over 110 mph and it was still pulling strong before I let off of it.
The Engine ran extremely smoothie and did not sound like my old Diesel as it was very quiet.
No bumps or knocking of any kind even in turns and on rough roads.
The fit and finish was very good and the cab and bed alignment was great, however the tailgate hangs for about 3 or 4 seconds after you hit the release before it folds down the rest of the way.
I didn't find any problems yet with the 12 inch display unit. This is definitely going to be a learning curve with this.

So far, I am very pleased with everything. I will post more pictures after I sign the papers and take delivery.

Here are some pictures of the Old meeting the New before I retire Big Red Thursday.

Thanks, Yep I guess you could call it that. Years ago I bought a new GMC and it was limited to 87 mph and I was unable to get it changed back then.. Never again will this ever happen to me as I will never buy a SLOW POS like that ever again!.. I despise speed limiters. I have a 983 HP, 2010 Mr Norms Super Challenger as my play toy that will do over 200 mph. My Dodge store had a talk to me when the were looking around in it computer and found it recorded as top speed vehicle has reached.

Now that's a rocket sled. Nothing more p/$$=$ me off than when there governed back. I think most of them are set at around 117 or something like that.

Probably so, but it is going to be changed tomorrow. My limiter will be max engine RPM limiter before I sign papers.

You'll have to let me know what the computer shows that magic number will be

I couldn't get my truck to go past 101.

I even set the max speed with AlphaOBD to (200 kph) and it still won't go past 101.

It would be nice to know what all the BCM options and settings are in your truck.

We could also use some info about the TTPMS modules that are present, like is there a module in the headliner?
