2022 HD Crowdsourced VIN/Order Tracking

My build sheet does have the truck options I ordered., so that is good.. I know one thing, the price is not going to be the same since my March order!

My dealer is honoring my POC from when I ordered. As they agreed, not my fault it takes so long to get a truck after it is ordered.

All sold orders are price protected to when the order was placed. If the dealer is telling you anything different, they are trying to gouge you.

Is this in writing somewhere? I made a lot of assumptions when I ordered., including the POC was my price and the wait wasn't going to be nearly as long as it has been.

Shame on me for making any assumptions., I know.

I can attest to this as well. This is canadian perspective anyway. But ive dealt with a few dealers and once the deal is signed thats it price locked. I believe i got the 4.49% rate. Kicking myself for not ordering a month earlier at 2.99%. Ontop of this the two main dealers i use always assure me that during the build time line. IF a better program comes out they will apply that instead.

But i would agree, if youre being told you arent price locked when youve physically signed and provided a deposit, they are completely out to lunch.

They have a deposit, they have my signature on the POC. So, I guess I have some ammo when this thing arrives.

Hahaha yep ill say, you signed the deal and agreed to the terms. Not youre fault if it takes 8 months to build a truck

Don't know if it is in writing...but mine came back exactly the same...and there were several price jumps between order and delivery.

None of the paperwork I signed confirms a locked price. The paperwork says the manufacture could change it, and the dealer could in turn change it. However, I was assured it was locked with the POC. So was the interest rate. However if incentives are better at the time of delivery I can get those.

IDK if the POC is honored, my experience at my original dealer is that the signed POC didnt feel like anything concrete.

At Koons had the signed POC along with a few other docs, including the out-of-the-door pricing. With all the taxes fees and everything spelled out. That felt much better and a more assuring way of price lock. My $0.02

I asked specifically when I noticed price went up nearly $2000 and dealer said the price at time of order will be honored

Honestly, I don’t think anybody is “locked” in unless you specifically have it in writing. Talking to my dad the retired attorney, If the dealership wanted to pull that stunt, they realistically could with no legal ramifications. I have only seen it happen once or twice on the order thread over the last 8 months, and they were dealers selling at MSRP. Now is it morally correct, hell to the no. A reputable dealer is going to want new business through your word of mouth, and want your return business. I can speak for Mark Dodge: I had nothing in writing and my truck MSRP went up over $5K in the 5 months I waited on it. Nothing changed and they sold me the truck at exactly what I ordered it at, nothing hidden. And because of that and many, many other reasons, I sing their praises to anyone who will listen and send them any business I come across.

But in the end caveat emptor … buyer beware. When in doubt, get it in writing.

On that vein, a deal quoted as % off MSRP is a one way ticket to getting screwed since as MSRP goes up so does your price.

Every dealer is capable of submitting your order price protected but they don't have to so definitely make sure yours is!

It's a Stellantis thing. When you get the POC that is actually "confirmed", that invoice price is locked in their system. Mine was exactly the same...to the penny...5 months later. If the dealer is trying to charge you more, they are ripping you off. Because, they are charged the same price as the time of order.

MD told me in an email in the initial post delivery email that in order to get it at sold order price you have to consummate the deal within 4 days, 4 business days presumably. I doubt that is true, but more likely store policy so people don’t keep them on the line. I know from reading this thread that they’ve worked with people who had real life events correspond with the trucks arrival.

Every sold order is done automatically.
If they submit it with the price protection it includes rebates at time of order as well (not that there really are any right now) vs just what's available at time of delivery.

And regardless of when the dealer is invoiced many of them will pass along increases to customers because they can.

Agree. How did this mindset become acceptable as standard practice? When did a handshake become outdated as an honorable way to seal a deal? Trust, honor, now require a legal document for validation. Sick world we all created via direct action or complacency.

When I ask my same retired lawyer father where the handshake and a man’s word was concrete has gone (they way he raised me), his response is, “Lawyers. I blame it all on lawyers. They are blood sucking leeches looking for another billable hour and a loophole to get around that handshake.”

In his defense he was a lawyer for an extremely large police agency defending that agency and its members. He was on salary and never really made a lot of money.

My dealer also gave me the docs with all the taxes, and everything spelled out. Both my POC and the ODP docs signed.

I couldn’t voice that opinion but it sounds like a good man did!!

Delivery TBD has been replaced with a September 19th estimate. If it holds true it will be much sooner than expected.

While reading through the forums yesterday I realized I made a bonehead mistake when ordering. I selected decal delete thinking that referred to the hood and vertical bed stickers only. I didn't realize that meant all decals. For some reason unknown I thought it would look like the picture despite the note just below it. I didn't realize it was called a tracer decal. Guess I'll have to order tracer decals now, or maybe wait to see how I like it without any decals.

Zach had posted on another forum 10 days ago that the KCK Argentine yard for shipping out right now was a "mess". My date has slipped, but it was off-loaded finally last week and went to the Vehicle Distribution Center in stage to be trucked out to Granger. Granger sells a lot of Ford and Chrysler vehicles. We are competing for the slots with 2 brands and various other models. I watch the other forums for their deliveries, and it does appear that the trucking has stepped up recently.

I have to admit the suspense is eating me alive, i apoligize in advance Quattro, BV. But i just have to ask if there has been any movement! Please and thanks! 3c7wrnel8ng364205

Looks like I posted on the wrong thread yesterday, so I’m trying here today.

Anybody have a lead on the current status of my order (VON: 54501586 - VIN: 3C63R3HL3NG311614)? Last info I got was that it was scheduled to arrive at the Port Allen yard on 8/15 and that it would be delivered to MD by 8/30. I was unable to get the rail car info from MD, so I can’t confirm that it actually landed at the rail yard on time.

Thanks in advance!
