2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I have no stains in my headliner. The drip where I’m getting water from is coming out of the grab handle on the drivers side. I’m thinking it’s from the roof mounted cab lights. Need to get mine in and checked out before the rainy season starts up here in the PNW
I checked all of the cab clearance lights and rear crash light. All tight and no signs of leaking in the headliner. The very top of the carpet at the firewall was wet, only on the drivers side. I’m thinking windshield, but they are going to water test and determine leak and fix, it’s all warranty, stuff happems

Just curious. I see most trucks go from "in production" to "vehicle built" in a day or two. It's also my understanding the trucks are sent out to do the factory bed liner. When it shows up as vehicle built, does it already have the bed liner done?
Vehicle built means it already passed QC
Outside vendors are after-line production and before QC
JB status is outside vendors status code, I think the running record is 60-something days.

the short answer to your question is, yes when it is built it has passed QC and already has anything it needs from outside vendors (bedliner, bed step, body steps)

I don't know if I have any extras but I do have some things in my side mirrors that look like rear pointing LEDs? Are those on all trucks? I haven't seen them come on but I also haven't driven it at night yet.

That option shows up on the night edition on my build. View attachment 43039
Those are reverse back up lights. They come on when you turn on your cargo bed lights (upper button in the headlight control knob) and place the vehicle in reverse unless I am mistaken. And they are BRIGHT!

In actuality, when your truck enters the production line, it pops out the other side in 8 hours. The tracker lags with its updates. If you have no other options that are put on at the outside vendor, your status changes to KZLD and you're in line to catch a train. If you have other options (steps, bed liner, hitches, etc), you move to the outside vendors for that work and status becomes JB. The tracker will never show JB, only that your are built and awaiting shipment.

Outside vendors can be a short venture, or in my case, a 58 day party with all of the workers. But there is someone in the group who has the trophy at 60+ days

Thats interesting read about the vendors and it makes much more sense now why my dealer "strongly recommended" having them putting the running boards on. They said what i was thought jokingly is "itll get here way faster if we put the boards on" of course i realize it makes them some more money, but the boards were actually cheaper option from dealer as per rams build. Would i be correct to assume that a 5500 being it needs no extra attention after the production line has the potential to jump right onto a car? ish?

yes, I think it's a safe assumption, because of the chassis-cab situation. If running boards were selected to be done at the dealer.

supposed to be built this week! have all my appendages crossed at this point. In reality i feel my wait thus far hasnt been out of line as compared to some that is for certain. I suppose thats due to the fact i was a later order 22 and maybe the factory had caught up somewhat by then

yes, def, timing helps, the challenge for some with waiting is options availability.

Has any lucky deliveries found there trucks had extras on them and not in the build sheet ? I have noticed I have got a Couple items that I did not order ! Like the trailer cameras surround pkg , and blind spot monitors! There not on my build sheet or on my window sticker and never got charged for it . Must have been a bonus for having to wait so long for the truck LOL
I didn't think I was getting Ventilated seats. But I got them. I went with level A. Level B has them listed not A. But they are on my build sheet and window sticker.

Yes I do have a sunroof. I can also hear wind noise inside at highway speeds, sounds like it’s on the passengers side of the sunroof

I ordered level A in June. Hope I get lucky too! (doubt it)

Iam not sure if canada/US are the same when it comes to packages but we have a laramie level 1 and 2. I can only assume its same as A or B. I chose lvl 1 laramie as lvl 2 the dealer and i agreed it seemed to be mostly a technology upgrade like the different cameras, nav, second row heated seats, etc Actually MOST of whats in lvl 1 is covered in 2. Anyway i also of course ordered the front heated buckets in lvl 1 which immediately meant they came with vented fronts.

Mine had everything completed, including offsite vender (bed liner, 5th wheel hitch....) stuff before I got to KZ status. Mine took about 10 days

Read through that thread. You may have a clogged sunroof drain. They drain runs right down the inside of the A-Pillar
