TPMS (TIS) sensors for trailer (SOLVED - see 1st post) aka TTPMS - Trailer TPMS

There's a good idea to all who don't like my input please just block me an I'm sorry if I offended anyone, i had no intention. Just BSing with a bunch of ram/ cummins brothers an sisters.
I don't mind you Rich. But one thing you could do is try to post everything in a single reply. You often take 2-3-4 replies on the same continuous subject. Maybe before clicking on Post, wait a full 30 seconds and if you still have something to add, do it right before clicking Post. Repeat until fully ready to post.

Rich,
You seem like an alright guy, but also a lonely guy.
We're not bullies - just not here for "mindless chatting". Before you ordered your truck and joined, this used to be a forum to post information - so we can learn from each other, prevent mistakes in ordering, dealing with the systems and getting the best purchase advantages.
You have even provided some of that good information, but it's mixed in with so much irrelevant B.S. (little side tracks , quips, yahoos, etc.) that it quadruples the number of entries every time someone needs to go back and look something up.
I really think you should start your own Rich Thread for you to vent all that passion and yyyyyaaaahhhhooooo stuff you seem to need to contribute. Then, both you and followers will know what thread to live on and others will know what thread to avoid...
Just my $.02 worth...

Well, for $65 I'll chance it. I ordered the TPMS receiver at the cheapest place I could find (incl shipping.)

I didn't realize we knew what part numbers were needed, i also just ordered the sensor module. Hopefully with it installed and the values in AlfaOBD enabled the TTPMS will just work. Another member from a different forum told me to enable in AlfaOBD, "P/T chassis net: TTPM" as it is the setting you would need to bring the hardware online.

We don't actually know the full list of parts, yet.

Thanks to g00fy for the breakthrough finding the AlphaOBD reprogramming. This is the first development that makes retrofitting actually seem possible!

BTW: Anyone know the difference between sensors that were earlier listed (sorry, I don't have entry #): #68433188AA and the latest entry (#258) that is: #52112451AA? That was listed on the Commercial Builder Sheet. It's a kit and doesn't come up as good part number. But, the sensors in that kit are available individually as: #68375992AA.

I think the 68375992A are for light duty trailers. If you look closely at the illustration at Mopar, they are built on a standard rubber valve stem. My heavy 5th Wheel has metal valve stems for the 17.5" wheels to operate up to 125psi, so I need the 68433188AA.

Judging by these paragraphs in the service document that was posted:

"On 2500/3500 pickup trucks, (DJ and D2) the in-cab controls, chassis wiring and TPM receiver module have been factory installed. The module is located behind the rear license plate. A kit containing all required hardware for the sensor installation is provided and can be found in the cab of the vehicle.

On 3500/4500/5500 chassis cabs, (DF, DD and DP) the in-cab controls and chassis wiring have been factory installed. The customer is responsible for installing the TPM Receiver Module. Kits containing all required hardware for the sensor and module installation is provided and can be found in the cab of the vehicle."

I'm optimistic the module inside the cab is already there since the wiring is at the bumper already, maybe the module in the cab controls the truck TPMS as well, and all that's needed is to add the trailer sensor to it and enable it. But i guess we'll find out when @brutal or I get the module and plug it in.

I am very hopeful as well. I am just pointing out that we won't know the full parts list until someone like yourself has it working.

I would add that I'm going to try using my existing 433Mhz sensors, assuming plugging in the receiver lights up the additional options to pair sensors.

I also already have a repeater in my RV that may (or may not) work with the factory receiver. We shall see...

Update:

Just for testing purposes, I re-enabled the TTPMS on my truck late yesterday with AlphaOBD (using the KOAdTech cable and an old ELM327 BAFX Bluetooth OBDII reader) and let it sit overnight.

I don't know if it was key cycles, or the wait, but today I have the pressure options showing up under the trailer settings on the Uconnect. I didn't go any further as I do not yet have the receiver to plug in.

Can you give me a couple pictures, cause in my uconnect under settings all I have is trailer brakes, and once I go in there, I got 4 trailers to choose from, and under each trailer I just have a couple options, nothing for ttpms.

Will this world on a 2019 3500?? Got mine in October...

Did I read the .pdf file/Users Guide correctly?

It stated the "P/N for the sensor kit is 52112451AA for 4 sensors" was included if the vehicle was ordered with this feature?
Just wanted to thank you all who posted the link about the factory installed XG9 an that it includes the 4 sensors. I copied the link an ill take that to the dealership with me. That will save me another $170. I'll take it.

I printed the document out and plan on doing the same thing. I wish you luck

Well, it's fca documentation, so as far as I'm concerned, i ain't walking out with out them. Going to do the same thing with my aux switch wiring harness. Holding them to the documentation

Any one of you smart guys (Brutal perhaps? lol) willing to post a complete DIY video using AlfaOBD to install the TTPMS for those of us that didn't order XG9 from the factory (thanks to RAM not showing it as an option on their site) on our 2020 HDs? I know, that's asking a lot.

Amazingly, they still don't show either the TTPMS or the Aux. Camera Wiring options on the US build site! Someone pointed out that they are listed as options on the Canadian site. What the???

Yeah, I kick myself for not asking that but my order was placed over the phone and my dealership didn't ask if I wanted that option. Of course in my naivety before reading this thread, I thought it came with the tow pkg for some reason.

I was also messing with the build site yesterday. I don't remember if it was the ttpms or aux cam system but when you punch in 19 model builds, the option populates between the 30k an 20k fiver hitch as an option

I believe you're correct, I think I saw the trailer cam option on the 19 build when I was playing around with it but don't recall the TTPMS option.

I didn't remember wich one it was, but knew it was one. Allot of times to if I want to see more options I go down to the big horn edition an they will list more options
