TPMS (TIS) sensors for trailer (SOLVED - see 1st post) aka TTPMS - Trailer TPMS

The P/N for the receiver is 68375990AA , the P/n for the sensor kit is 52112451AA for 4 sensors, the P/n for the 10 ft wire harness that goes from the receiver to the chassis harness is 68395315AB. The chassis connector on a chassis cab is located on the aft cross member, just left of center, if it's already installed. The TTPMS user guide can be found at https://www.ramtrucks.com/BodyBuilder/service/ViewSpecification?specificationId=1666&fileName=Ram_CC HD_Trailer TPM Users Guide_MY19+.pdf.

Is it possible there are different parts for pickups?

I'll crawl under the truck tomorrow and see if there's a cable already going to the bumper. That CC cable isn't available anywhere that I could find.

One thing I noticed that could be an issue for me is the system recognizes the sensors as paired to a trailer. I double tow and was hoping to fool it with 3 trailer setups. One with the RV and boat, one without, and one with just the boat. Looks like that may be a problem.

Did I read the .pdf file/Users Guide correctly?

It stated the "P/N for the sensor kit is 52112451AA for 4 sensors" was included if the vehicle was ordered with this feature?

Makes sense given the costs for the option as compared to the receiver and sensors.

I seem to recall someone that got XG9 had the sensors. Don't recall if they paid for them or came with.

I was able to en

Yes, 2020 (in my sig)

I was able to enable the Trailer TPMS with AlphaOBD on my Android phone. I only just today got my security bypass cable installed.

Of course, after a key cycle, it reported an error and "Service Trailer TPMS..." so I disabled it until I can track down the parts.

ETA: I also didn't see the tire pressure option in the trailer menu on the radio, but that might be something that takes a wait time like other enabled options sometimes require.

Yea I noticed everytime I turn the truck on now it yells at me to service the trailer TPMS. I wasn't sure if there were supposed to be more menus popping up in the uconnect. I didn't really dig deeper, but there maybe a customer setting menu you need to enable in the uconnect if it doesn't pop up automatically. I've left the ttpms on in my truck to see if it'll pop up in the uconnect. My truck only came with a uconnect 5" so a lot of the extra menus available in the uconnect 12" are not enabled, I really need to see a log out of a 2020 to see what else I should turn on to get the full features out of my new 12" screen.

Interesting, i missed that. That would be nice. I have those 4 sensors in my cart ready to order, so that would save me like $170 . Guess will have to see. Don't expect it but it would be a sweet surprise

I bet little stuff like that disappears when it gets to the dealership from someone that needs it more

Yea, I had to ask for the 7 to 4 pin trailer adapter. Seems mine grew legs.

If you have Aux switches, make sure you get the bag of upfitter wires.
Also, the receiver 2.5"-2" reducer and that there's a small funnel with the jack under the front passenger seat.
OM, Diesel supplement, and Uconnect manuals

I'll have to take a look at my log. I should grab another one anyway before messing around as the last ones I uploaded were from before the MY20 update.

Sounds like a lot of stuff that some hard on there luck employees can make some coin on ebay at hard times. What's the up fitter wires that you say come with aux switches for. I was under the impression that was a whole other upfitter pkg

I don't know very much about the following 2 modules but they both come with different packets of wiring. Here are a couple of videos that might help explain a few things.
I hope this help explain some things.

Auxiliary switches
VSIM Module
Wig Wag Lights

That first video is older as the new aux switches are all 6 button, but the rest is basically the same. Two 4x plugs under the hood by the firewall, and all the wiring to plug into them - the other end being blunt cut to hook to your toys and various doodads.

Ok, thats what i thought. I ordered the 6 switch, switch bank an i know what ever you want to hook up, you just plumb it under the hood zip zap

So after watching the videos, i didn't order the crazy lights, no need. So I just need to make sure I get the bag of wire connection for my under hood aux switch plug ins. Ok I just looked on the build site an the vsim is any extra pkg for 345 I didn't get that or the telematics

Another question fer yah, on my current trade 16 model 2500 I got the plastic ram tailgate extender , is that something that also comes with the new 3500s

OK, I crawled under the truck and looked around and I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if the truck has the Trailer Camera wiring installed, the connector for the TTPMS receiver appears to be present in the correct location where the receiver installs.

Also, it appears the Trailer Camera plug is connected to the Uconnect for EITHER the bed or bumper, but not both. Mine has the bed connector plugged in, the bumper connector head is dummy plugged.

I'm just glad to hear those of us that ordered that pkg have both 7/12 plug ins outside a inside the bed. That would of been the most stupidest thing to plug 7 pin inside bed an have camera cable rubbing all over your tailgate.

I've got one on my 16 2500, i thought about keeping it but i have RAM boxes an I'm pretty positive it won't fit a regular bed because it wouldn't be long enough. That's the only bad side to ram boxes, storage is awesome but bed space is like a hamster pen

Ok so here's what I'm thinking, tel me what you think. I think when it's opened up as a bed extender that it will work on any bed because the width + or - doesn't matter. I don't know that it would fit the regular width bed when closed as a divider as this one fits the narrow ram box bed. Watcha think homies.

What I think is keep this thread about the TTPMS and not clutter it up with tailgate extender talk.
