Considering we already have VIN's would they change if the vehicles dont actually get built in the 2022 MY. This would affect resale value right, or would they become 22.5 like some manufacturers do sometimes. Wouldnt that also become a vin number change - Position 10: Model Year - M is 2021, N is 2022.

or would the confirmation be the actual build month and year on the door sill, it is a 2022 MY but it was built on October 22, no its not a 2023 MY.

That has been on my mind for a little while.

@QuattroCS - I am not sure why I even doubted you, but my salesperson was able to confirm the D1 date as being the same.....as well as a estimated ship date of 6/12/22. Hey if you change the 6 to an 8 and I get it by then, I will be a happy camper. Thank you again @QuattroCS and @Bombaman for your help in this!

Of course, I want to add value to the community and contribute, I took an initial crack at what status may be at each stage. then @Bombaman did the source code deep dive and now we are able to know for sure what each means and be able to compare apples to apples. You are welcome, we are still human. To this Ram world I am a baby compared to some. I am happy that you have progressed and have dates, we will all get there together.

Not sure if the disparity in details is training related or liability related. In everything there is room for improvement, I'm happy the tracker is available, i can only imagine what some of folks had to do to get details before it, and those that dont know about it or are aware of the forum existence.

this forum also nudged me to get another quote and was able to get on the Koons group buy.

Again you are welcome and we are stronger together.
 
Wished mine was being built ram told me yesterday that it was in d1 now there telling me that it’s still in d phase so I’m confused and my dealership is telling me d phase as well

Unless I am mistaken, orders for the 2022MY are about to draw to a close. The plant will finish out the 2022MY builds, and then prep the plant for 2023MY builds. A little bird on my shoulder said that 2023MY builds are slated to begin October 3rd.

@Bombaman did a fantastic job with the "source code deep dive". One thing for everyone to keep in mind: if your showing a built date, you are not KZ if your vehicle has to go to outside vendors for spray-in bedliner, side steps, etc, your code is actually JB. Mine was built 4 days ago, but my current code is JB until it returns from the vendors. Then once it passes inspections and released from the plant will I be KZ.

Just something to keep in mind while we play the wait game... :cool:

You would think that they would want to get the vehicle delivered as quick as possible to avoid the interest payments they fork over at the end of each month, but what do I know. It's out of the dealers hands for delivery, and anyone who has been on this forum for any length of time knows, it's a crap shoot.

According to my dealer, the area rep told them they should consider themselves lucky compared to what GM and Ford dealers are going through.

Not that they’ve been accurate, but your dealer should be able to provide you a ship date from Altamira

Tanner, you are a character. Production as in humans and robots actually physically building your vehicle.

Should be 7-9 weeks (on average) to schedule the truck for production. The building process itself seems to take about a day to build, then it's shipped off to other vendors for accessories such as steps, bed liner, etc.

As others have advised, I'd reach out to your dealer around the 7-9 week mark and ask for an updated POC, hopefully it will say D1 and have a "ship date." From there, it's a matter of "when" your truck gets physically built and the tracker should keep up to do with that process for you.
 
Just contacted Ram Chat, here is the message they gave me. "Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your vehicle is in the shipping stage. Current Dealer ETA is 06/08/2022 - 06/20/2022. If you do not hear from the dealer by the 20th, I'd recommend contacting them for further assistance."

What phase would this be considered? Is it on a train, on a truck, or sitting in Mexico waiting to be shipped yet?
