2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

brv10 if you haven't left this thread yet would you please check on VIN# 3C6UR5NL9NG286416 ?
If I had a VON I would use the newly posted order tracking system and wouldn't have to bother you.
My salesman told me last week my order went D1 with a mid June ship date which I'm finding hard
to believe. Thanks !
Your salesman will have your VON.

With the exception of Mark Dodge, who from what I read takes a proactive role during the order process, dealers have no clue where their customer’s trucks are. I not only want my truck, but NEED it and I’m sick & tired of Ram Customer Service telling me that I should consult with my dealer for more accurate information because they don’t have it or care to find it!

That goes for the district managers as well; especially the one from Long Island, NY who’s more concerned with how I found out that my truck is in the Port of Davisville than getting it to the dealer in Huntington, NY! That’s why I wouldn’t tell her how I knew!!!

…and Ram Customer Service telling me that “my case has been escalated” and I’ll be receiving emailed updates is also a load of crap. Not one email received to date.

From hearing about cyber attacks on the Ram computer systems to the dealer telling me that my truck will be “hot tagged” for trucking from the Port, then being told they can no longer do that - I’m PISSED!

I’m no Ford fan, but I have a friend who ordered one and he receives accurate updates (via email) almost daily. TRANSPARENCY is key in any business - including the auto industry.

God I miss Lee Iacocca……
I did a search using the zip code 11743 (same as your dealership) and found several 2500's and 3500's within a 25 and 50 mile radius ... built AFTER your truck ... and on dealer lots. The worst being a 3500 built on 5/9 (47 miles away) ... sitting on a dealer lot. I am, and I assume many others, are in the same situation as you and it is not right!

They just don't know the brain power and world domination happening here. They also wouldn't understand

Seriously, members of these forums are so much more knowledgeable on every aspect than just about any dealer its amazing. Not just this forum either, I had a 2016 Challenger one of the headlights would randomly go out. Took it to the dealer 3 times and they couldn't figure out why said they couldn't service the LED's. Challenger forum diagnosed and someone posted a schematic to take to the dealer. LED driver was going out, headlight replaced.

I hear ya I had big jobs lined up for this month and next. I had to work out logistics for this month but I don't think I'll be able to find someone to do next months job. This last one cost me about $1500 of $4000. The next will be the same or cost me the entire 4k. I am not happy being that I was told 4-6 weeks after being built or sooner. I would've have worked something else out if I had known I wasn't going to have the truck. I was able postponed this month's job 1 week but the builders needed the beam and had to get it to them. Had my current truck been setup for a gooseneck it wouldn't have been a big deal but I'm not setting up a gooseneck in my 2003 1500 chevy and breaking down, hell I'm not sure there is even any good metal to attach it to. I could have bought one off the lot but I wasn't paying $15k more for the same truck. I don't make enough money to warrant that kind of added expense.

Interesting, on MSN this morning
Hope they do it, kind of what ford did with the 7.3. If they do it I bet we will see way better gas mileage out of that than the current HD gasser. I would've liked to see a smaller diesel in the 2500 that wouldn't be 10k take it or leave it option and not impact the 2500 payload as much.

Nooooooooooo!!!

You know too much

I’m in the same area built 3/15 my dealer said it’s going to New Jersey by train but it was in port altimera going to Rode island

Yes I did. I usually text the sales guy but I will try that email. Thanks
What status is yours if it was just built?

I was KZ on 5/22. Tracker now shows shipped. I'm waiting to hear back from Koons on my status check email this AM.

Yes I have been quite pleased with it. Im having it done to our other truck that should hit MD in the next 3 weeks. And you can also get the Carpro Cquartz touch up kit pretty cheap online.
What was included with the $700 service? I’ve heard they include pain protection. Anything done on the wheels, or the windshield? Thanks.

Fun fact: my dealer's Chrysler rep appears to have authorized the dealer to go fetch my order out of the Denver railyard. I've always heard that's impossible.
It actually worked that way for me when I ordered my 2019 Charger hellcat. Christopher's sent a hotshot to the yard and delivered it. From order day to deliver was 32 days. I couldn't believe it was that fast. But that was March 2019.

This is what mine looks like, it went D1 I believe in just under two weeks.

hey
no TBD (at the bottom), its the little wins
I don't know if I consider TBD a little win. I was lucky enough to have my truck built a month from placing my order but the time spent in the shipping phase has been a complete s**t show. Make matters worse, my dealer doesn't seem too concerned with the amount of time that the truck has been in the shipping stage. The only good updates I've received have been from a very helpful member of this site - I would in turn update my salesman.

*Edit* - you must've edited your post as I was responding. I just noticed the ETA on delivery at the bottom. Yesterday it stated between June 26 and July 7 - so yeah, that's a win.

The crazy thing is the dealer was invoiced and they paid for yours the end of February. You would think that they would want to get the vehicle delivered as quick as possible to avoid the interest payments they fork over at the end of each month, but what do I know. It's out of the dealers hands for delivery, and anyone who has been on this forum for any length of time knows, it's a crap shoot.

@Scooterbv didn’t you order from Koons in Tysons? Saw your order on the sheet as one of the few others who ordered from Koons. If so what email are you using? They typically respond within hours when you use [email protected] for status updates. My 3500 was built 5/22, maybe we’ll be on the train/boat together!

My 2500 was built on 5/13 and going to the same dealer. Hopefully they are shipping them all together.
