Wow, sorry to hear you're still waiting. Mine got on a train out of Mexico around the time yours was built and I took delivery in early April. Despite the long wait I had for production, I feel incredibly lucky to have had a reasonable shipping timeline of 3 weeks to the dealer. I really hope you get it soon! That tracker is wayyy swank and with incredible accuracy! They are spot on that Whitey got ordered 10.29.21, was scheduled for production 12.9.21, finally got built 3.19.22 and is still ready to be shipped with an ETA TBD. They should take part of their tracker development team and transfer them to their shipping team.
Seriously, I got a call from Sandi Saturday afternoon. The one time I leave my phone in the car (we were at a wedding and were enjoying pre-ceremony beers) and I miss an important call. She left me a voicemail which basically said this timetable was unacceptable and that she was going to take it up the chain. IIRC she also used the word ridiculous. I sent her an email thanking her and suspect I'll hear something in the very near future.
Will check in a bit, slow internet where I am now.
Most dealers will probably store it for a week or 2 with no issues, but until the truck is sold it is costing them interest and opportunity cost. If it were me, I'd finance through Chrysler Capital, get the rebate, close the sale on the house, make 3 payments, then pay it off. I would not want my brand new truck sitting on the lot with the inventory right now as some unscrupulous sales person could sell it out from under you.Ten days after receiving word that my husband's 2500 had shipped, it is sitting on the train at the port across from Baton Rouge (city where we work and where the dealer is located). Kinda freaking out because we are still waiting on a closing date for his mom's house (that money will pay for the truck outright). Do dealers store ordered vehicles? I do not mind paying a fee for it, but I also do not want to finance this truck because it will seriously put a huge burden on our finances...only reason we are able to get it is because we know his mom's house sale will pay for it in full, including tax, title, and license.
I ordered a strip down, and I mean stripped down 3500 Tradesman and Im on my 4th month waiting. I ordered on feb 3rd and im guessing I will see it around July 1st. Fully loaded you are looking possibly into September if there are no more glitches in the world, but we see how thats going. hang in there. When did you guys that are still in D status order your trucks?
This is probably going to be totally dependent on the dealer. You'll need to call and discuss it with them. They may be willing to store it for you if you propose to cover their holding costs (cost of money for their loan and a nominal amount for storing and keeping it secure on the lot). I'd want to have a timeframe in mind if possible. Given the uncertainty surrounding real estate transactions (appraisals, financing, inspections, etc.), you may need to walk away from this one and re-order once you have the funds in-hand. The dealer may be willing to return the deposit if they can sell at a profit and are understanding of your situation. You took a risk and the timing didn't work out. Better to walk away than put yourself in a financially burdened position.Ten days after receiving word that my husband's 2500 had shipped, it is sitting on the train at the port across from Baton Rouge (city where we work and where the dealer is located). We are not walking away from this deal. We have no problem getting approved for the financing, I just don't want to pay that much a month. We need this truck because we are going to a family reunion with our camper to an area that my vehicle cannot tow it (does fine in the flatlands here, but will not do well with the big hills we will encounter). We need time to break in the engine and the towing. Things will work out, but if my husband would not have sat on his rear for so long, this all could have been done and not even an issue. This is probably going to be totally dependent on the dealer. Also, we have cash buyers for the house and the car, so closing on the house will not take as long as someone who is trying to get a mortgage. Problem is his brother has to sign the purchase agreement that was overnighted to him last week. He claims he just got it today. He was told to overnight it immediately upon signing due to a time limit (our cash buyer put that in there so his brother would not sit on his rear). His brother is only getting 25% of the house sale and none of the car sale (per the will and succession), so he may be a little bitter...he doesn't know about the truck and it is none of his business. This is probably going to be totally dependent on the dealer. No worries. I was just reacting to the part where you said it would put a seriously huge burden on your finances. Call the dealer and see what you can work out.We are not walking away from this deal. The burden would be no money left over at the end of the month...I vowed to never live paycheck to paycheck again a few years ago and have worked hard to get us where we have a nice little cushion every month for emergencies (of course, these gas and food prices are likely to cut into that cushion now). It will all work out...always does.No worries. I was just reacting to the part where you said it would put a seriously huge burden on your finances. Call the dealer and see what you can work out.
The more options the longer the wait it seems. My order went in feb 18th, a medium optioned bighorn dually, it’s built waiting on a train ride. A buddy has been keeping up with his and mine, the dealer told him maybe mid JuneI ordered a strip down, and I mean stripped down 3500 Tradesman and Im on my 4th month waiting. I ordered on feb 3rd and im guessing I will see it around July 1st. Fully loaded you are looking possibly into September if there are no more glitches in the world, but we see how thats going. hang in there.
I was just told my truck will be in port on june 16th it has been ready since 3/20I’m in a similar spot. My truck was ready to ship on 3/1, still at port in Altamira but due out this week heading to Davisville. My dealer told me once it gets received in Davisville they can see it.
It’s all gonna depend on what they’re running at the time. Now till the end of the month ( if approved) it’s 0% interest on some 3500’sSo, are there any real in incentives to financing with Chrysler instead of paying cash for the truck? I’m at the point in my life where I don’t want any bills & plan to pay cash for the truck. But if it’s worth financing it for a month or 2, then I’ll do that. Any rebates offered with financing through Chrysler?
Dave…
Well zero interest doesn’t really do anything for me. Not to sound ungrateful but I’d rather have the title in my name & own my truck outright. So zero interest does nothing for my, really. It’s all gonna depend on what they’re running at the time. Now till the end of the month ( if approved) it’s 0% interest on some 3500’s
Have Canadian order as well. Ordered September 13,2021. It just went to D status May 9. The different sites asking for VON or VIN will not give any information on Canadian orders. We ordered 3500 Big Horn Megacab diesel.Hey all, new to the site. I'm in Canada, was just told last week my truck will not arrive until July. Dealer has provided minimal info besides saying it's in Mexico. I have an options report with vin #, date/time, and dealer enter odometer attached at top. Where would I find the order number. I can see DJ Fam Tracking number on the bottom of the build sheet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys
September 13 2021When did you guys that are still in D status order your trucks?
See if they do something like $500 off for financing through them. Finance the minimum amount and pay it off at the earliest allowable date. Wifes van a few years ago cost them $460 bucks for me to finance through them cause they only made like 40 bucks on the interest. Took 3 extra minutes in their finance office.Well zero interest doesn’t really do anything for me. Not to sound ungrateful but I’d rather have the title in my name & own my truck outright. So zero interest does nothing for my, really.
