Yes I know! Not the correct location to ask this question, but I read somewhere through the past 1000+ pages about dealerships adding trackers to customer's vehicles prior to them taking delivery.

I just received an email from RAM Service about my Monthly Vehicle Health Report. They were able to identify the mileage on my odometer as well as my Oil Life Percentage.

I know I'm being tracked because I never signed up for any RAM services, Maintenance Services or Dealership Services.

Is this something RAM installs on our new trucks so they can track date associated with said vehicle? Or is this something the dealership added prior to me taking delivery?

There is nothing inserted into my OBD Port, but their is another Orange colored Port attached inline to the OBD Port. I attached a Picture.

Can anyone tell me what I'm looking at in the picture? How am I being Tracked?

This is normal. You get up to a specified amount of time free with purchase. I believe you can cancel this at anytime.

The other tracking was an add-on...used for different purposes.

Its built into your uconnect hardware. Log into your uconnect account and cancel it. If you go deep into the privacy policy you can get removed from even more tracking info.

So it seems in response to my last "update," they really did open a claim. 137 days since ordering a counting, but at least the truck is built, now it's just a matter of time to see if this will help it ship out soon or now.

I’m currently KZM according to the dealer. I’m like 1159 in the spreadsheet. Fingers crossed the truck arrives before we move across the country!

Mark me as delivered on 5-7-22, picking it up this Friday. Original order was 2-2-22, build date was 4-15-22. I was offered the ceramic coat and accepted as well. Thank you to everyone that has contributed to this thread and the crowd sourcing thread as well. The buying process was seamless, I can’t say enough good things about Mark Dodge.

Oh we definitely are!
And I get it. Shipping delays, parts shortages, silicon chips unavailable, people and workers shortages. Crisis at the border. War in Ukraine. Wake of Covid. Fuel prices. We are in the golden age of blaming delays on literally anything. Anything.

But riddle me this: Why are other trucks, whether ordered before or after mine but for sure built after mine getting shipped? I know mine is built. It has even been invoiced to the dealer is what I was told. But it has not shipped. Other trucks are shipping to the exact same place that mine is supposed to go. Personal orders like mine, not dealer or stock inventory trucks. And these ordered trucks are shipping in a timely manner I will say. But mine is not shipping at all? What did my truck do to deserve this treatment?

At least your truck is built! My dealer said mine was in build process over a month ago I find out from ram chat there still gathering parts . People who ordered after me already have there trucks ‍

A claim was opened on my build after 7 weeks of "gathering parts". I did not hear from them again until my truck was built and it just gave me an estimated delivery window. I continued to receive them every few weeks pushing the delivery window out another 2 weeks. The last email from customer care was on 3/11 giving me a new delivery window of 3/15-3/28. An hour later I got a call from my dealer telling me my truck was delivered the night before. Great internal communication!

I ordered ours 2-04-22 still gathering parts ! Love seeing others get there’s but frustrating to not even have a build date !
