Dealer can tell you. He just doesn’t want to.Hey how are you guys finding out what rail car your truck is on? Dealer and ram can’t tell me. All they say is it’s in transit. Thanks
Hello everybody, 1st post and wanted to thank everyone on this forum for the incredible information given on this site. It was because of y'all that I discovered Mark Dodge and Sandi and got a way better offer than the $500 under MSRP my local dealer was offering. And since I'm just over the border here in Conroe, TX they will even deliver the vehicle to my house and take back my Ram 1500 trade in.
Have been checking RAM Chat every other week or so and the last update before today was that they had received the order but had not started build. So today I head over there and it is now showing that "your vehicle is in the shipping stage however part of our system is down so we are not able to see if there is an ETA. It will remain in this stage until delivered to the Dealer."
Does this seem right? It has maybe been a week and half since they last told me they hadn't even started building it. I reached out to Sandi but figured it was time I stopped lurking and posted on here as well. Thanks again for all the info!
Congrats @Havoc Powersports and @Lowbagg - your trucks arrived two days after mine!I was contemplating driving it home, but decided to have it shipped. Cost would end up about the same (flights, hotel and fuel) so it came down to a time thing.
Congrats on getting yours also. That great news.
I had a 4/13 build date but still in D status. Ordered 1/29/22Well, we had a ship date that has come and gone, and still not fully built yet. That ship date is just an estimate, in my opinion.
G'DaveCongrats @Havoc Powersports and @Lowbagg - your trucks arrived two days after mine!
I got my paperwork completed today and plan on heading down there next weekend, taking delivery on Monday May 9. Wish I could go sooner, but the timing is not right. I could have gone this week if the truck had arrived last Friday![]()
G'Dave
Thanks. I finished up all the paperwork today with Aaron and payment with Marsh today. Getting with Kody tomorrow to get it shipped out. Hopefully It'll make the short 810 mile trip in a couple days.
MD really makes things as painless as possible.
Ive received quotes from shipping brokers between $900-1300. I'll get the quote from MD today. I decided on shipping because the ticket to Lake Charles was $450, then I had to pay for fuel, possible hotel and then my time. I also would have put 850 miles on the truck just driving home. So for about the same price and the truck arrives at my house with only 11 miles on it (in 3-5 days) I choose shipping.I hadn’t really considered the shipping option. I’m 700 miles away. What do you think that would cost? Ballpark number?

Ramchat code:I have placed an order back on 3/12 which I have found the dealership didn't actually place the order until 3/24 for a Ram 3500 LL DRW. I just got off a chat with RamChat and they stated "I am showing your vehicle has been scheduled for production. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly." Does this still equate to "D" Status? The last update I have received from my dealership was in late march. My information is listed here if someone has access to more solid information. VIN: 3C63RRKL3NG311267 VON: 54495418. Any information would be helpful.
I was actually born in Cecil Field when my Dad was getting out of the Navy and then 10 mos later we moved to Plano. Thanks to the magic of divorce I grew up back and forth between Jax and TX until I got on the bus to go to Parris Island. Small world!Nice to meet a fellow Texan, I grew up in the Lufkin area before joining the Navy. Still a good chance we end up back in Texas at the end of our road trip.
Production has picked up since I ordered in November, and it took 22 weeks to get my truck. You’ve probably read it here, but don’t trust RamChat too much. They once told me my truck was in Kansas waiting on vendors.
It’s not a bad idea to reach out to Sandi around the 8 week mark, ask for an update, and ask when the next best time to check-in with here would be. It’s a game of patience, and many of us will tell you it’s not easy, but worth it.

Thank you for the info.Ramchat code:
Gathering parts = D
Scheduled = D1
Built but with no Dealer ETA= should have EL and window sticker available (or soon after they tell you this)
I would contact your dealer and ask for estimated shipping date. That is usually close to actual build date.
That’s where I ordered from as well. Was originally told I’d get weekly updates on Wednesdays, which turned into me having to request a status every 2-3 weeks if I wanted an update. Which then turned into my truck being stuck in Baltimore collecting dust, which ended with me buying off the lot and ending that nightmare. The truck had been built since January 21… it’s almost May.Mark Dodge cranking them things out lol!!!! Koons CDJR is flirting with me telling them F it if this radio silence doesn’t cease.
