2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Mine sat in KZLD for a month while waiting on a rail car.
My limited took 2 1/2 months to get built and is sitting in rail yard 1 month awaiting a ride to NY
You would think they would try to get them to the dealer so everyone can get their money

They probably wait until they have a full car/truck going that way, to help with shipping costs.

Mine sat kzld for one day and was shipped on the actual ship date.. I think it's all a timing thing and maybe where it's going.. my last truck took 14 days from kz to delivery.. I'm at 13 days so far with this one..its all a crap shoot just like the build..

How long will dealers typically “hold” a custom order on the lot?

Power Wagon is 80 miles away and waiting on a truck, but my Jeep (trade-in) is still in the shop with no ETA (“maybe Monday”).

Starting to worry the stars won’t align.
My Jeep is fixed and ready for pick-up! The stars have aligned! PHHHEEEEEWWW. :p

And remember, the dealer wants the vehicle just as fast and quick as you do! When the sticker post, the dealership is actually purchasing the vehicle from the manufacturer and they have paid for it. So from that point forward they are paying interest on a vehicle they do not have, and will continue to pay that interest until we sign the dotted line.

3C6UR5KJ8NG266032 - Ordered 01/28, built 04/01. 2500 Laramie Hemi LBCC

Renae at MD said it was on the train and scheduled to arrive at the rail yard on 4/12. I'm not sure if this is somewhere in Louisiana (maybe Port Allen). She told me it could be up to another 14 days tp get from the rail yard to the dealership.

Does anyone else have a truck built around the same time, and headed for Mark Dodge? I was hoping to have it by the end of April....
My Laramie 2500 Cummins was built 3/23 and should've arrived in Port Allen yesterday...dealer eta ~ 2 weeks...

I find myself sitting in the airport this morning getting ready for the first leg to Lake Charles, JAX to DFW. I’ve asked three separate associates at MD to check the alignment against Thuren specs and adjust the air pressures to 80/65, but haven’t heard back at all.

Looking through checklists and weeding through the threads trying to remember everything that I’m supposed to be checking. Of course I find a meme on the book of faces that hilariously explains what I’m doing (only those of you that have seen Moon Knight will get it).

My dealer said they couldn't get it to Thuren specs, wish I could bring it in to work and do it.

This is the one aspect I still haven't gotten ironed out yet...

My dually arrived with the steering wheel off center quite a bit and it wouldn't track straight down the road...took it to a reputable shop and he got it close but its still off...truck has about 2k miles on it now...will probably try again to get aligned in a couple months...disappointed as this is the one issue I fought on/off with my 2016 dually as well

Probably a long shot, but whatever site they use to check ETA has been down for about a week..anyone have insight on when it’ll be back up and running? Both ramchat and dealer can’t see anything and just say to check back in a few days.

Off to the right?

Questions for any of those who have purchased a truck out of the state of Florida and live in Florida. Say for example, purchasing from Mark Dodge and registering it in Florida. For sales tax purposes how is this handled? Also if the market value of two trade ins which I would have in the deal would wash out the full price of the new truck, I am assuming there would be no sales taxes to be collected for either state. Is that correct? Once vehicle is brought back home to Florida, I am assuming there would only be the registration application fees, tags and title. Any light that anyone has to shed on any of this would be very appreciated. I have not ever purchased a vehicle out of state and registered it in my home state. I just don’t want to find out the hard way. Most of this seems to be common sense but does not always work out that way. Searching online for detailed info about these type things, I seem to come up short. Thanks

Not in Florida but a couple general thoughts ---

you are correct about the trade in values possibly zeroing out any taxable amount owed.

one aspect that I asked a couple different times was if they REQUIRED me to pay the sales tax at the time of the sale....my state allows for a private sale to offset the sales tax owed and I didn't want to pay $4k in taxes and then have to wait for the state to refund me $3k - even though that is exactly what i ended up doing.

you can confirm, but Mark Dodge told me that if I was paying cash or using my own financing, they wouldn't require me to pay the sales tax up front...I could handle it once I got it back home and registered it....but IF I financed through them, they required the sales tax that is required by the buyer's home state to be paid at the time of purchase...they called my local tax office and I slightly overpaid by a couple hundred...received a reimbursement check a couple weeks later for the overpayment

I didn't have any alternative financing established when I bought mine b/c I hadn't received any updates until the morning it showed up at the dealership -

would still buy from them again with the current savings over 99% of the other dealerships around

Not sure how that works because they sure seem to take there time getting it ready once it gets there..

What tire pressure do I need to ask the dealership to put in my tires? I remember reading on here about the tires having either a lot or not enough when it comes from factory. Thanks

Off to the right?

Yes - pulled to the right and the steering wheel was a solid 15- 20 degrees or so off center - to the right as well...very noticeable - especially for a new vehicle.

I didn't take the Thuren specs to the alignment guy because he was the one that finally was able to straighten up my 2016 (only to have a dealer screw it up when they performed the tracking bar recall without me asking them to do the recall)

He did say that he had maxed out one of the adjustments and got it close (wasn't really paying attention)

I asked MD about it and they waivered a little on reimbursing for an alignment so I didn't press them - figured at best they'd reimburse another dealer aligning it and I haven't had much luck out of that...

Anyone know how to track union pacific.. best I can tell its somewhere between eagle pass and centreville,Illinois. I have a number but I have no idea how to tell..
We might be on the same train! Truck is to arrive in Chicago by 4/25 (as early as today). My railcar doesn't seem to be updated though. Its saying as of Dec 19 its in Toledo, OH. So not sure where it is. Did you have any luck finding location?
