2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I did the same for my wife when we went in June - she’s hooked and we are retiring to Idaho or Washington when I retire from this stint . She absolutely fell in love with the whole area!!! The Hood Canal is so beautiful. Have a friend of mine I work with that was a Marine stationed at Bangor early in his career.
Idaho was where we were planning to retire before the housing prices went through the roof. Decided we'd home base in Alabama and spend significant time traveling out west. I may change my mind at some point if the market ever returns to normal.

We are shopping now. We plan to sell our house in 2 years and full time for the last 2 or less years till we find something in the pacific NW and then move there once my law enforcement career is over.

Haven’t posted in a while. Hope everyone has been doing well. Just wanted to reiterate that it’s beneficial, as soon as you guys take delivery of the new rig, to raise the hood and check every single fuse installation. I checked mine today. I would say 90% of mine were not fully seated. Not loose, but not fully installed. Just a PSA!!

3C6UR5KJ8NG266032 - Ordered 01/28, built 04/01. 2500 Laramie Hemi LBCC

Renae at MD said it was on the train and scheduled to arrive at the rail yard on 4/12. I'm not sure if this is somewhere in Louisiana (maybe Port Allen). She told me it could be up to another 14 days tp get from the rail yard to the dealership.

Does anyone else have a truck built around the same time, and headed for Mark Dodge? I was hoping to have it by the end of April....

Someone posted a checklist recently. I may have been the first person to use it, and found 95% of mine not seated fully. The next person said it was 100% for them.

Questions for any of those who have purchased a truck out of the state of Florida and live in Florida. Say for example, purchasing from Mark Dodge and registering it in Florida. For sales tax purposes how is this handled? Also if the market value of two trade ins which I would have in the deal would wash out the full price of the new truck, I am assuming there would be no sales taxes to be collected for either state. Is that correct? Once vehicle is brought back home to Florida, I am assuming there would only be the registration application fees, tags and title. Any light that anyone has to shed on any of this would be very appreciated. I have not ever purchased a vehicle out of state and registered it in my home state. I just don’t want to find out the hard way. Most of this seems to be common sense but does not always work out that way. Searching online for detailed info about these type things, I seem to come up short. Thanks

That was me and you were as far as I know.

It has changed quite a bit from feedback and other research since you used it. Kinda morphed into a checklist/faq kind of thing with a bunch of links to buried posts of wisdom and part numbers for things you should have. Because who is really going to read through some of these 1500+ post threads.

I am still open to additional tips/corrections on it from anyone whether you would actually use it or not.

Could you post a link to all that info again?

We should make this document a sticky or add it to the Google docs drive.

It is a google doc already or do you mean a specific forum owned one? Anybody with the link can make their own copy to their drive too.
I guess I meant a forum "owned" one, but I guess it's not necessary

I find myself sitting in the airport this morning getting ready for the first leg to Lake Charles, JAX to DFW. I’ve asked three separate associates at MD to check the alignment against Thuren specs and adjust the air pressures to 80/65, but haven’t heard back at all.

Looking through checklists and weeding through the threads trying to remember everything that I’m supposed to be checking. Of course I find a meme on the book of faces that hilariously explains what I’m doing (only those of you that have seen Moon Knight will get it).

I think we’ll end up near the TX coast or FL. The wife and I would love to move back to Key West, but we sold the house there two years ago and her dad moved to VA. I plan on finishing out my degree and trying to get a job back at the command I had a lot of success with down that way.

Have a safe trip! I had reached out to several people with similar requests and never heard back from them before my arrival. I finally called Jimmy because I wanted to be sure they did not wash or detail it. One walk around was done prior to signing final papers.. The recall software had been completed at some point.
Let us know your thoughts!

Thanks! I definitely need to download that checklist that was put out, maybe do that in DFW while waiting for my connection.
