Much obliged sir.Tow/Haul is going to change shift points to higher RPM's for more power resulting in lower fuel economy. The exhaust break when active shouldn't be consuming any fuel (or at least minimal fuel).
Good call sir.The exhaust brake will have a slight impact on fuel mileage since the vehicle will start slowing more quickly instead of coasting. However it does save brakes and is a good thing for the turbo charger. At the end of the day do what you feel comfortable with and don’t worry about a slight decrease in fuel mileage since these trucks are not exactly economy models. Enjoy it.
Haaaaaaaaahahahahaha ... She IS pretty smart !Heck, your Border Collie could have told you that. LOL
They seem to KNOW they're smarter than us .... don't they ?My two are always trying to outsmart me. They usually win.![]()

Beautiful pups, I grew up in England right at the border of Scotland, they were bred there for farmers, very agile and very hard working dogs, they cost tens of thousands trained for farmers. They are also "a**holes" to other dogs because of their jobs lol. I loved working on farms in the summer and working with them.
Sound like you led a charmed life sir.Beautiful pups, I grew up in England right at the border of Scotland, they were bred there for farmers, very agile and very hard working dogs, they cost tens of thousands trained for farmers. On your original subject, pretty much echoing the same statements, it feels and sounds nicer, you don't coast as well, light footed you wont see any difference.
I'm ok with a MPG cost to use the TH mode... I'm thinking brake life extension.I have tested TH vs no TH to/from work and on my commute it cost me exactly 1 mpg. 16 miles on-way, mostly rural with speed limits up to 50, 4 stop signs and 1 light.
I haven't noticed a difference with the EB, but I also use Auto around town so I can coast when wanted.
