I am making this thread to share my build progression with anyone interested. This is my 22” Power Wagon Stock:

24036AD5-6CF8-4401-B6C9-F8E5BAE79D1D.jpeg

Modifications Completed:
- Removed the side "RAM", "HEMI", and tailgate dealership decals

- Recon smoked cab lights (amber)

NOTE - These cab lights are for trucks with EXISTING cab lights, for trucks that do not have existing cab lights, look up Recon Part #264146Y

- Replaced stock silver "RAM" grill insert for black "RAM"

- Installed Rims & Tires
Rims - Black Rhino Arsenal 17" x 9.5" -18mm Offset

Tires - Nexen Rodian RM7 MTX 35" x 12.5"
*Note: With my tire size and rim offset, the tire sticks out "just a little bit" from the OEM wheel well fenders. I do get a very small amount of rubbing fully turned in reverse on the driver side door. It rubs on the corner frame molding in the wheel well and that is it. You can remove this, or grind it down with a dremel.

Up to date image of the build with everything above installed:

Modification parts en-route:
-Recon smoked third brake light (On back order ~8 weeks)

Future Mods / Feedback Requests / Recommendations:
-12” Uconnect 5 screen & Bezel (Found)

-Bed utility Rack
(See the power wagon picture featured on black rhino's website. I am looking for a bed rack similar to what is pictured, without the pop-up camper)

-Exhaust recommendations
-Air intake recommendations
-Tuner recommendations
-General aftermarket parts you’ve found to be really cool or that you would recommend!

I don't think anyone has hacked the ecm yet to make a supercharger work on the new ones or a tuner. Maybe I am wrong but seems that has been a complaint know for a couple of years.

Well that is a bit discouraging... I have not done my homework yet, so I will have to research a bit. Thanks for the heads up!

Recon Smoked Cab Lights Installation:

Stock:
IMG_1740.jpg
1st: Remove the single screw on the back side of the lights. Then using a plastic pry bar, gently lift from beneath the opening of the screw hole:
IMG_1752.jpg
2nd: The little white plastic release slide is a bit finicky, use a small screw driver and removed it entirely (it will slide back on, be gentle) Getting the connector off was a bit tricky as well (its really on there) I used a flathead screwdriver and "turned" it to break the tension, then it came right off. You really have to put some force into the connector to get it to seat properly when you install these lights. I suggest plugging them in and turning them on to ensure they energize before installing.

Overall, it took about 15 minutes. If you order these lights from Recon, there is a disclaimer for two separate cab light kits. One for fresh installs (you do not currently have cab lights) and one for existing installs (you currently have cab lights) make sure to get the right one.
It was a subtle difference, but I feel the subtle things on these trucks make the difference. The lights are not as bright as the OEM's, but they are smoked so that was known going into this.

Looking good so far, following along to see how it turns out.
Thanks brother, I am like a kid on Christmas morning waiting for Santa (FedEx delivery guy) to deliver my last rim today. I am hoping before the tire shop closes, then I will post some pictures.
I also bought a security bypass harness to make config changes via OBD from @Jimmy07 (highly recommended if anyone wants one built). Once that gets here, I will be breaking all sorts of ****.

Small update, my black “RAM” for the grill came in and is installed. I really like the look!
I got it off Amazon, if interested, look up:
* It mentions 2019-2020, but works for 21' and 22' obviously

Good looking truck.

On the 75th front grill, the RAM is a dark gray.

I agree, that silver just doesn't look right, especially since there is no other silver/chrome on the truck. On mine, the only silver is the bed lock ring and chrome lug nuts. But I've got a plan to change that. ;)

Like the look of the smoked hay hauler lights. Will look into that for mine.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I really am starting to like how this is looking!

My buddy has a 75th, and is the reason I got into the Power Wagons. They are naaaaasty!
I am glad you see the "world" as I do, no silver, no chrome, black it all out! The recon hay lights were insanely easy and fairly inexpensive. I can send you a link if you're interested. I am jealous that you have the 75th in my color, I was strongly considering finding one and trading for it, then installing the UConnect 5 12" w/ wireless Carplay (it became a standard now). I got the black lug nuts taken care of, but let me know what you come up with for the bed lock ring. I have to get a bed liner in here soon as well, I can not believe that is not a standard in todays age....

I am also looking for what's out there to replace the "2500 heavy duty" hood emblems. I want to find a nice matte black insert with the same information. I am also thinking of going overboard and getting a matte black winch hook (same model I have).

For the bead lock ring, I'm just going to paint them using the factory color so that they match the truck. ;)

If you have the link handy, please post it up for the recon lights. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I ordered my 75th with the bed package, LED light, spray in bed liner and bed step. I'm glad I did as I use that step a lot.

I believe someone on here got a matte American flag to replace his 2500 hood emblems.

Mine came from the factory with no silver or chrome, other than what's mentioned. Just looks right with the dark red.

When I went looking for a new truck, I was looking for a TRX. Decided I didn't want to pay that much and buddy told me about the Power Wagon. Doing some research, I decided it fit my needs better and so ordered one. Wife just said no more black, white or gray vehicles. Saw this red and thought it would look good. Looks so much better in person than in a picture. Loving my decision.

Definitely post up some pictures after you apply that sweet delmonico red to those rims.

I just updated the first post with links. I am going to get a better picture of the truck to include in the body after I leave the office in a bit.

Speaking of looking for new trucks, three weeks ago I was driving down I-94 East of Dickinson, ND when a lovely highway patrol officer pulled me over in my jesus christ millennium falcon edition deleted, lifted, obnoxious 19' all blacked out duramax. I was pulled over for doing 82mph in a 75 (He wanted me for other reasons). I will skip the exchanges of vocabulary, but he mentioned that my registration expired the day before. He then inspects my truck and issues the following "fix-it" tickets listing the things I needed to have corrected before I was able to renew my registration:
- Truck in excess of legal suspension limit (I had a 6" lift, which I know I was below the legal limit because I spec'd it to be just under)
- Tint (Yeah, I knew better.... I will own this one. I know 35% is what is legal here and mine came back at 1.8%. Also, you can not have anything on your front windshield and I had a tint bar
- Rims & tires sticking out past fender flares (Everyone in this state has tires that stick out, he was just being a........)
- Illegal exhaust and emissions system modifications (It gets -40 ambient in this cold ass state, I was sick of my DEF tank freezing)
- Illegal engine performance mods (Deleted, and a few other "things" that made my vehicle illegal for street use

My tickets themselves were $38 (speeding tickets in ND are a joke and insanely cheap, one benefit of living here). The fix-it ticket corrections though, easily over 12K. So, I threw some colorful smart assed vocabulary his way, and went back home.

Thats when I found this beauty, and to be honest... I am actually happy it happened. I love this truck, by far my favorite vehicle!

I try to keep my build thread up to date with stuff I've done.
After your post, I took a closer look at my truck. Think I need smoked hay hauler lights, mirror turn signal lenses, and 3rd brake light.

Right on bud !!!!! nice ride
really like upgrades on lights and ram badge
Going to do the same once my truck gets here
looking forward to see more

Can you please verify your Black Rhino wheel offset? I'm being told that I need +12mm (and some say +16mm) of offset.
The offset and backspacing requirements will change as the width of your wheel changes.

Just in case, the Offset is the distance from the center the of the wheel to the mounting surface; The backspacing is the distance from the inside edge of the wheel to the mounting surface.

AEV's wheels are a good basis to determine clearance, as they were designed to clear 37's on our trucks, they are listed as 17x8.5 , +27mm offset w/ ~5.8in of backspacing. If you want to keep ~5.8in of backspacing on a 17x9.5 that put you at a +14. If you wanted to keep a +27mm offset, that'd give you ~6.3in of backspacing.

I believe (someone correct me if i'm wrong; going off of memory and pre-coffee still), going with a wider rim will result in a wider overall width, so you'll need more clearance on the inside to keep from rubbing the radius arm. This will also cause the tire to push out a little a further - so when turning you might start rubbing the fender liner or that pinch weld in the front.

There is a thread on this - https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/pw-6-4-procharged.10731/

My local dealership put a procharger on a '22 PW, b/c of part delays they had to switch programmers and took about 13 tunes to get the truck running. The owner feedback was, he can definitely tell the difference, and enjoys the power - he probably wouldn't' spend the money on it if he were to do it again.

How hard was it to get the stock lettering inserts out? I'm thinking about switching mine to black or maybe red, but I'd just paint the stock ones vs buying a new set. Your truck is looking really good by the way.

Well gentlemen, I loved my power wagon so much that I ordered a new one fully loaded.

This Jesus Christ millennium falcon edition Power Wagon is the coolest truck I have ever had. I swapped my tinted recon cab lights, my rims and tires, and my black “RAM” in the grill. The build continues but on a new Pw! (The one on the left is the new PW)
