Ditto. AC clutch or fan clutch.Sounds like a clutch dragging, maybe the AC clutch? Try turning on AC and see if it goes away?
Replaced AC compressor, still making same noiseSounds like a clutch dragging, maybe the AC clutch? Try turning on AC and see if it goes away?
In that case just run it till it fails and the dealer can fix everything that fails in the processI've been to the dealership 3 times and they told me that the tensioner was bad the first time, second they just left my truck sitting in their lot, third I went there started the truck and went inside to get the mechanic, he listened and told me it could be many things, that I should continue to drive the truck until it gets worse. Had to go to an outside mechanic and he replaced the AC compressor, took it back to him, the truck is still there. This has been going on since February 14. My truck is my sole source of income and I'll probably lose my business because no one has the time to fix it.
I've replaced the fan clutch a couple of months ago when it went bad, so it's fairly new, I've replaced the AC compressor, I've replaced the belt tensioner and belt, no change whatsoever.
Any chance of lemon law?I'm in the hotshot business and I go all over the place, I can't afford to break down somewhere on a 2 lane road without phone service. Then the expense of a wrecker and getting my load delivered, if I'm loaded, lot's of factors to consider when taking the truck out knowing that there may be a serious problem.
