2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I listed mine on autotrader and the amount of scams that I got was amazing, maybe 1 in 20 was a legitimate person. Ended up selling to Northwest Mortorsport, fair price and easy transaction.

this. I listed mine on autotrader - priced at the higher end of trade in value and nothing but bots responding. Priced at $46.5k and have an offer from Carmax for $44.2k so I was expecting a little better response. When the times comes I'll probably call a couple dealerships that are advertising "wanting" to buy cars and then go from there

They wouldn't have been stuck in QC for that, that would have been a vendor
I would not debate that it was not stuck in QC, but all Status Info I got said it was "in QC" - my point is that the "In QC" status may or may not be correct

wow am I dumb, i had no idea I ever had someone elses build sheet open! My apologies! lol
I dont remember looking at others build sheets :) Just thought I had mine left open! Whew!!!

MD seems to lowball on trade value, so in lieu of trading in how have y’all been selling your current rides? Autotrader, carmax, carvana, other? Any one place consistently offering higher / being more successful than the others?

You have to factor in the sale tax credit when trading in versus selling you old vehicle. MD gave me less than any of the places I could have sold it to(Vroom/Cargurus/etc) but still saved me money as the tax savings more than bridged the gap and I had old vehicle up until the moment I took possession of the new vehicle.

That is true. In Delaware you can use the credit for private sale or trade. Unfortunately your only given 60 days to title a new vehicle for the credit. I calculate the chances my new truck will be here in 60 days to be zero.

I got a good offer on my old truck so I sold. The market may be the same in 4-6 months, but who knows.

Yep - if someone is unsure, they could always double check about to see if a private sale would offset the tax owed. Little surprised Delaware allows it, most of the states i've come across that allow it are the less populated rural states...

Lol. No worries. Just glad there isn't an issue.

View attachment 31849View attachment 31850View attachment 31851Here the pics of my truck finally cleaned up a bit and got the windows tinted today. Picked up Tuesday night. Dealership dropped the ball hard but I got her home that’s all that counts. 150 miles so far and love the truck. Now off to other threads to do some research on rust preventative and paint protection. Thanks everyone here.
Love the colour - nearly went with it but now regretting I didn’t!

Ohh, this is good to hear. I ordered a big horn on 1-20. Hoping to get a D1 status soon. Did your dealer tell you d1 or did you get that f I'm ram chat? Ram chat told me I was still in scheduling, awaiting parts.
The dealer told me D and then a week or so later, Ram Chat told me D1 and to check back in a week to see if its been built. Have no idea (like most) how they schedule but I do know that mine went in with a dealer order. Not sure if that would have helped. Be curious to hear when you go D1!

I also found that I could access both on my computer, but couldn't pull the window sticker from my phone. Maybe it was a cache issue as suggested.

Noobie question i upgraded my purchase to the 220 alternator what purpose should you do dual alternators? Ive seen several builds with that option just wondering if i screwed up not getting that option on mine?

The reason I did is because I read a few times with air leveling that it helps keep batteries charged so the compressor won’t put a strain on batteries as much. Also I have a large 5th wheel camper I figured it would help the 2 batteries stay charged there too

Interesting question - I had dual 220amp on my 2500 but never knew why - bought off the lot back in 2015.
Figured more likely for someone with a heavy electrical draw - like an ambulance - but still hard to see using 440 amps with limitations in fuse and wiring ratings - looking forward to seeing replies

Hey

see you ordered Orlando region. If you don’t mind me asking what did you pay for the build? I’m in Lake County and tried all the local dealers and nobody is under 80k except a dealer in MO which I’m probably going to go with them if I don’t find anything local.
Haven't read all the way through, but I also ordered from Lakeland Dodge and they were able to match Mark Dodge's deal. Talk to Mike P, he's a good guy.

Like some have already mentioned, the dual alternator set up is for vehicles that need to support large electrical draws. Snow Plows, Ambulances, work trucks. You also see some with sound systems use dual alternators too.

I also put duals on mine to support air suspension (3500# pin) and possibly use to charge RV batts in transit (up in the air on that).

I got the dual alternators on my build not for the amp output but for the redundancy

Like some have already mentioned, the dual alternator set up is for vehicles that need to support large electrical draws. Anyone who ordered the Snow Chief gets the dual alt setup because of the load a plow puts on the system. You also see some with sound systems use dual alternators too.
