Ok, So the horn lowering is NOT to lower the volume of the chirps. It is to turn off the Horn Chirp when lowering the air suspension via your FOB.
Damn it.
Damn it.
Well, that's when it chirps. When you leave it running and leave with the FOB.I'd stick that dang horn on a relay that is only powered on when the ignition is turned on.

I suggested that earlier but I wouldn't want to give up an Aux if it was mine.Another good use case for Aux switches...
Yeah, you are right. For some reason, I thought we were still talking about the horn honk when doing a remote start.Well, that's when it chirps. When you leave it running and leave with the FOB.
Except with Ford you can turn it off with FORSCAN.Most of the manufacturers have added this "safety" feature now. I know many new Fords have the feature. Somebody probably parked their car in the garage, went inside and the carbon monoxide killed their hamster. As a result of the million dollar lawsuit you now have the 3 safety chirps.
Well, there ya go. Ford just doesn't care about their customer's health as much.Except with Ford you can turn it off with FORSCAN.
Obviously, your truck was ordered before mid-September. My October-ordered Laramie does not. I'm not keen on leaving the spare fob in the truck, my luck something would happen to the other one where I'd need it and it would be locked in the truck. I guess I'll just have to try to remember not to close the drivers' door when I'm jockeying around in the campgrounds. My '22 Bighorn has power fold mirrors. Also, looks like I'll be leaving the spare fob in the truck, the 3 beeps irritates the crap out of me (and the neighbors).
I left my wife's FOB in the truck today and locked it while running. With my fob out of range the doors would not unlock with the passive entry.Did some experimenting with this today. If I leave my spare fob in the truck it will not beep the horn if I close the door when the truck is running, it will allow me to lock the door from the other fob in my pocket while it’s running and allow me to lock it when it is not running. So I’m leaving my second fob in the console for the time being. I have a bighorn without the door handle lock system so not sure if this would work with that setup.
I plan to just leave my second fob in the truck and using the app to unlock as a backupIt appears that buying a 3rd fob and leaving it in the truck would be a workaround, or am I missing something? Of course there's the expense, something like $100 for a fob?

You beat me to it, I was thinking the same thing. With y’all leaving your fobs in the car/truck. If a thief breaks a window and gets in the vehicle, they can start the vehicle and steal it? I’ve had that happen twice in Charlotte NC on a hotel parking lot (wasn’t ****ty hotels). I didn’t have a fob but they stole a lot of stuff from the truck including my check book. Emptied my checking account. Bank returned all the money but my point is, if you leave a fob in the car they probably will be able to steal it with them being in the car after getting in through the window.
