Happy 7 month orderversary to me! 30 weeks and 4 days. At least mine is built and sitting in a rail yard waiting on delivery to the dealer. There are still at least a few May, June and July orders that aren't so lucky. Many more August, September and October orders. November and beyond don't get my sympathy yet.:D:p

Searched throughout the Forum for info regarding the Ecco Boost Light on my dash coming on while stop and go driving 35 mph around town. Is this a common occurrence? I have the 6.4L Hemi
It seams to be normal. Press the downshift bift button down once then up til it reads 8 as high gear. That will turn it off. Works great to turn off cylindar deactivation.

It’s not eco boost, just eco. That just means you are driving in a fuel efficient manner. It doesn’t only come on when MDS has kicked in, but any time MDS is activated, so will the eco light. You can stop the eco light from illuminating by going into the radio settings, in display, and turn off fuel saver display.

Why is the cummins engine so much more for US customers than Canada? $9450cdn which is about $7500USDis the figure on Canadas build site.. If I go on the US Ram build site, it shows it a $9400usd option!! When looking at US customers windows stickers from the spreadsheet, people are getting charged $12295USD for the cummins? When I look at a CDN windows sticker around the same date, they got charged $7295cdn, which is $5800USD. That is less than half the price Americans are getting charged! Thats a lot of extra money US is paying versus Canadian orders! Finally Canada is cheaper for something lol But why such the big difference?
I would guess it has something to do with the EPA.

I just ordered a 2500 CC SB Big horn yesterday. Crystal Metallic , Sport package, digital mirror, LED headlights, level C and ram box. Wondering which one of those options is going to screw my build. Dealer told me to expect 25-30 weeks. Hoping for less but I have a perfectly good truck that will get me by until then. Hopefully the wait puts me into some good incentives :) Im going to try really hard to just forget that I ordered a truck until May or so.

Dealer also said that Ram would be sending me an email with a VIN within a couple days. Is that how it works? Seems everyone is contacting RAM chat to get their VIN.
No vin yet? Strange, level B must be done also.

I heard from a buddy of mine who has ordered at least 6 vehicles from FCA that the 8" screens are running into short supply :-(

I think I saw a Canadian price sheet that made the 6.7 look less expensive, but they had a separate line item with more dollars for the transmission, whereas down here the one (huge) priced option is for the engine and the transmission. Have a look, I may be confused.

That eco thing isn't anything new. Back during the gas rationing days of the mid 70's and into the 80's the cars started coming with a gauge in the dash that said the same thing. Usually it was a colored bar that went from green to red. The gauge was nothing more than a vacuum gauge. If it was pulling a vacuum it was conserving gas. If the gauge went to zero there was no vacuum and you were burning gas like there was no tomorrow.

Has anyone been able to track the delays on certain orders to dealer allocations? I assume dealers get so many allocations per month, quarter, etc. Would orders be slow to move through the system because that dealer doesn't have an allocation? I would bet most dealers aren't super transparent on this information. But it seems like high volume (probably large allocations) dealers like Mark Dodge seem to have a lot of orders move through quickly while smaller volume dealers seem to experience longer lead times. This is just an observation from reading the thousands of posts on this thread.

I ordered from a local small volume dealer just before the new year and got my VIN almost right away and am at D status as a sold order. But was told 6-8 months at time of order after a few days prior I was told 8 weeks by the same salesman (which I knew was total BS). We'll see how it goes, I am waiting till the end of this month to check in on progress.

Yup, I’d say you might be confused. Here’s the engine plus trans package price on the Canada build and price. When you select “see included options”, it lists the 6.7 Cummins and the 6 speed transmission.

Put the word "allocation" in the search feature at the upper right. The topic has been discussed extensively. I think you will find the information you seek there. Opinions vary considerably.

day 144 since i ordered my truck , and it sits , waiting for a ride to the dealership at the train yard a 100km away from me , i don’t understand what takes so long to load it on a truck and deliver it to the dealer 2-4 week delivery window isn’t acceptable
