2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I got two manuals. One for truck 500 pages and one for radio 228 pages. lots to read on these cold days.
What truck did you order? I’m assuming the 228 page radio manual is for the uconnect5 12”? Of course that would be an important manual.

That manual is not very good for the 12 inches, it covers every radio and the 12 needs one of its own.

Delivered to dealer aaaannd Picked up.
Ordered 11/11 l. Built 1/7. Shipped 1.10. Delivered 1.19. So 9 weeks
Name is on window sticker.
Black headliner/a-pillars I was told it came in tan when 21's were ordered with black cloth. So that was a cool surprise.

Hey Ramping, you misread. Misheard too. That was’t angles singing. I think it was a Saltillo worker having a beer and a fart. Anyhow they meant 1/22/2023. I called them. Told them I was reading your posts and that you were totally ok with waiting more. Even expected a long wait and they were free to sell your truck to someone who was impatient. They were so relieved and asked me to give you their thanks. Glad I was able to clarify for you! What are friends for anyway? You’re welcome.
Thanks for the help builderman. I appreciate it. I'm not sure yet if it is true or not. Haven't checked with Ram Chat to confirm. If it means that I get my truck though, I take the Saltillo worker & buy him a beer.

This is spot on, don’t leave it up to speculation. Make the dealer commit and put it in writing. Once they present the POC, they can get price protection at time of delivery, despite price increase once order is accepted. They should honor the deal and your and their signatures, if not then they are likely playing games.
I went through MD. I was given a verbal price protection but when it came to signing the PO, I noticed that there was a paragraph stating that price increases could be passed on. I questioned this and the sales manager called to explain. I was given a written price protection agreement via email and also had something added about my deposit being refundable if price or options were changed. This was done in a matter of a few minutes and without question on their end. So far I. Very happy with the service of this dealer.

I think those towing and payload numbers are very very conservative.

If I see what the website shows I can’t pull my gooseneck with both my sxs on it I didn’t get a HD to just drive around lol.

Whats your payload and tow rating via website?owdiss? Cummins with 2500 lowers the payoad a lot. I think 3200 and 17000 is pretty good for a non full time/ non tractor pull guy. As you can see ive got a boat/ airstream. Also getting a 2 car hauler

Online it’s showing around 1700 for payload and around 12000 for towing I will be towing my Montana 5thwheel around 15000 pounds I’m sure it will do just fine

I have ordered I think four vehicles in my life. Maybe five when I didn’t take possession of the one. There is never been a time that I ordered a vehicle where it only took a month. I think that’s even unrealistic to assume that it would be a month. You have to assume that it’s going to be a minimum of eight weeks. Most likely 12.
Same here. I’m still searching local lots for something that fits the build
I knew it wouldn't be a month, I just thought this was the thread to complain in. I get hopeful when I see 3500 HO MC Limiteds being built though.
I did get the oem puck adapters for my superglide hitch today, just had nothing to bolt them too. The only plus side to waiting is desert season will be over soon and I can wait a few more months to spend the money on a lift and tires.

Lots of charts on what models do what. I dont know what would make the tow rating so low. I doubt it weighs 4000 lbs more.

2500s are coil sprung in the rear vs 3500s with leafs which is why the 2500 has such low payload for an HD truck. The Cummins weighs a ton more than the hemi which further cuts into payload and if you purchase a loaded trim level (ie limited mega cab) all those options add up so Im not surprised payload is only 1700lbs.

This is the reason I went with a 3500 over 2500. I prefer to have some wiggle room and not be right up against the limits of my truck.
