Checked with the dealer this morning, my truck is still in “D” status. Guess I’ll check again next month.

My dealer told me they have no control over when a truck leaves the depot. The truck drivers wait till there is a full load for a general area. Probably why MD gets trucks quickly after the train drops them.

That gives me a lot of hope! I ordered almost an identical truck exactly a month after you. Estimated ship date is 1/18/22, really hoping that holds true.

Just wanted to thank all of the contributors on this forum for sharing info and for giving so much great advice and guidance on how to land an awesome deal. I never could've done this without the knowledge I gained here. I ordered what you see in the attachments on Oct 21 and just found out that as of 2 days ago my truck is on the train headed to the port of Louisiana with an ETA of 1/20, so let's see. I'm told it takes ~2 weeks to get it out of the port and over to Mark Dodge. I got 11% off MSRP from Sandi at Mark Dodge. My price was $57,668 + $425 docs + 19 temp tag & notary. I'm in Homestead, FL, Miami-Dade County, so trying to buy a truck like this here locally is significantly more expensive, at minimum $10K more, and I would not have been able to get all of my must haves under one hood. I'm truly grateful that I found this forum and you fellas and your banter have been entertaining along the way.

This is how you do it. Check back monthly not a few times a week. Ram Chat is a joke. The Crowdsourced VIN tracking is the best gauge of times, if your truck is not on there you need to go here https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/2022-hd-crowdsourced-vin-order-tracking.6189/

Well, I’ve hit the end of my Customer Service rope. I called today and asked to speak to a brand mentor or manager. The rep on the phone with me just straight up ignored my request and went on with her “I’ll put in an inquiry” standard response.

It’s time for me to give up on them, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results! LOL!

Yep, I never would have considered it even if I was getting a short bed. With all the stresses it would go through both laterally and torsionally there’s no way they’d be watertight.

Yep, I remember, that’s why I played those words. The beating WERE on going till today! Moral was low! It seems lots of us, including me, have good news and there were some good pictures too. Yey!
 
I got the awesome email today from Aaron at MD! My truck is unloaded at the rail yard, dealer should get it in 4-5 days!
On top of that someone came by for the second time to see my existing truck. I’m thinking it may be sold soon. For $31,000 for my 2006 Ram QCLB diesel 4x4 Laramie With 142,500 miles. Perfect timing if he buys it.

ACEd, just asking, how sure are you about the receptacle in the rear bumper being a Fakra connector? My Fakra cable (not purchased from RAM), doesn't seem to fit in it (it doesn't snap in like other Fakra connectors). And when I try to plug it in, with the camera attached, it doesn't work. However, I can unplug the receptacle in the bumper (it's attached behind the bumper with a Fakra connector). When I do that, then plug in my camera/Fakra connector.....the camera works perfectly. Further, I've seen pictures of the connector from the tow mode cable (sold by Ram), and it doesn't look like a Fakra connector. It makes me wonder if they changed the receptacle in the bumper to something more beefy than a Fakra connector - and in the process made it incompatible with a Fakra connector.

Maybe they did it to force people to buy their camera kit?
 
Hell yea, just got the call my truck arrived at the dealership tonight. It will be ready for pick up this Friday. I will post pics after I pick it up. This is the only pic he sent me but it was definitely love at first sight

A friend of mine is currently in the process of spec’ing a truck for a potential sold-order. He’s visited three dealers in our area so far and received vastly different numbers on final price. The one thing that seems to be consistent is that every dealer has told him that:

“chrome bumpers aren’t available for a 3500 DRW truck”

Is there truth to this? Another casualty of parts availability? Or someone doesn’t know what they’re talking about?

I’m having a seriously hard time buying what they’re trying to sell….someone in the know enlighten me please!

when I saw the pic of the connector on this forum kinda looked like a bnc connector to me.but I have not recieved my truck to confirm for you.

tell him he can't get the sport package and I think night edition package of he wants chrome. otherwise they come painted. I'm positive u can get chrome bumpers because I got them on my 3500 order

Yeah I knew those two came with painted bumpers, but I don’t think he’s interested in those packages. I got chrome on my truck too, I just wasn’t sure if this was some new parts shortage issue.
