Check the closure / sealing on the ramboxes - my drivers side box lid is high at back when closed and does not seal - going back to dealer today.

Not bad time considering mine was ordered 9-14 and is still most likely a week away from delivery to the dealer. Mine is scheduled to arrive at the CSX facility in Orlando/Taft on Thursday the 14th.

I ordered my truck in sept from MD and it’s in D1 status, I am wondering if they have more mega cabs than crew cabs. Nice color. Who did you talk finances with. That’s my next step when the truck gets here

They have had problems with those box lids for over five years that I know of. I had them on a Limited 3500 and they leaked back then. Myself, I will not buy another truck with them. You would think after 5-6 years they could get them right.

Agreed .... but in their defence it's a lonnnnng compartment that's exposed to a LOT of longitudinal torsional forces. Mine are hit and miss too. They don't leak under natural conditions but definitely when you blast them sideways in a car wash .... I just avoid that.

To me, if I couldn't put anything in them that I didn't want to take the chance of getting wet I didn't put it in there. After figuring out they leaked and there wasn't a guaranteed fix, I just put trailer towing accessories and tire chains in there. The drain holes in those compartments are there for a reason unfortunately. At least back then mine had drain holes. Mine also leaked in sideways driving rain storms. Like the ones you see in Florida.

Don't you remember the phrase, "The beatings will continue until morale improves." It's kind of its own catch-22, at least I always thought it that way.
I worked for a place like that once and never looked back. I am finding myself in the same situation with RAM and when I leave something I never go back. I'm about to my point of leaving.

Ok so I just found this forum and I’m not sure if it’s a blessing or a curse. Some of yalls stories give very high hopes and some give major anxiety lol. This is my first time ordering a vehicle and I had no idea it was this stressful waiting. On 12/30/2021 I ordered a 22 2500 bighorn with the lowest package that I could get the sport and off-road package with a center console. Nothing fancy on the truck The dealer said they were telling people 10-12 weeks and that seemed like a long time but reading this thread I feel like maybe I’m in for a longer wait….. what has been the general consensus on average wait times?
Congrats and welcome!

I threw some pivot charts together for order times of the ones delivered back on page 1131.

It really varies however, things are most certainly trending the right way.

Lol so it looks like I picked the one that is moving slower. Seems about my luck haha. How are y’all figuring out what status your trucks are in?

If none of us got a VIN at order time, just a VON, would the trucks have been built sequentially and with the proper equipment, this day and age everything is whacked, just go to the grocery store and see empty shelves of basic stuff. Ok I'm done, will these fit my HD?

Your salesman or the sales manager is your best bet.

I had asked earlier but did not get a reply, so apologies for asking again.

But when a dealer gives an estimated start of build date, is that usually accurate these days? Or is it more of a moving target?

For me personally, mine was accurate (using the est. ship date on my POC as a build date guide).

I'm also interested in who you talk finances with at Mikes Dodge. And what their interest rate are these days. Thanks.

It's a toss up.

Many of the more recent orders are outperforming timelines from orders say back in June July.
For the most part, depending on the character of your dealer, they are buffering pretty huge these days.

Honestly, it is all we have to go on in the early stages in most cases, what the dealer says. But just be willing to accept, or work with, possible deviations therein.

The problem was/is, the last 5-7 months there hasn't been anything on the lot to buy. Hence the reason most of us are probably here.
That was certainly true for me. And when I decided to do the order I figured I might as well go all-in and order my dream truck.
