2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I have to agree with you especially about the social security number. I guard that number and my phone number with my life and I'm even careful about what companies I give my zip code too. I hate advertisement. I consider it an invasion of privacy. You also know that when you give your social security number to a company like that they will run a credit check and your credit score takes a hit. I would have to know the rates in advance before I would give them any kind of information.
Exactly. That’s why whenever I’m doing any type of home loan or vehicle loan I will get everything together I feel may be asked of me and make copies. Then I’ll get my free credit score and block out any info I don’t share and produce a cover letter stating they’re not to run my credit and the estimate they’re providing is a good faith estimate only. Any that don’t like it I don’t use.
I don’t like giving my personal info either and phone number and email stays private as I can’t handle a bunch of crap email or phone stuff.
Ive had my phone number only a bit over a year but whoever moron prior gave it to the world. After blocking and turning in about 250+ calls it’s finally manageable.

Thought I just saw something from USAA about 1.89% for 72 months.

What’s the deal with PenFed? I’ve noticed it in posts awhile back, but haven’t really researched it.

Looking at doing some research on these rebates. I know that most have stated that Ram is NOT honoring rebates at this time, but some dealers are. I had originally been tracking the military and farm bureau discounts, but it seems there may be a couple more I’m unaware of.

I just applied with USAA. They offer 1.89% for 60 months on anything 2021 and up. The 1.89% is contingent on you setting up automatic withdrawal else 2.14% for 60 months. Hope this helps!

I just applied too. 1.89 is for 60 I think. I got 2.09 for 72. I’m an 800 and have 1/2 down so I assume that’s the best they have.

I don't remember that but I do remember when it was a common practice to put your SS number on your checks. That was back in the 60's and early 70's. My first checks had that number in the upper top left with my address and phone number. My have times changed. I wouldn't do that in a million years now. Now back to the main topic...
Don't remember that, your Dr License number was always the thing around here.

I was never in the military. (One of the biggest regrets in my life to date). I think USAA and Navy you either have to be a veteran or have a family member that was.
I’m a residential builder and have dealt with ALL the insurance companies for folks that had claims and USAA is the 2nd best of all.
My credit score is 799. I’ll get a good rate anywhere. The difference in a half point for a 72 month loan isn’t a lot.
Mark Dodge said they’d be at about 2.37 at most. That’s maybe $10 or less per month. I’d rather give them the business.
To say that they’re the best dealership I’ve worked with is a huge understatement. From Renae to Aaron and then the finance manager Marsh words don’t do justice. They’re 1045 miles from me and I don’t think I’d consider going elsewhere. And I’m not an easy sell, I can, unfortunately, get a wee bit hot when angry. Customer service means a lot to me. I’ll do Mark Dodge for as long as I buy Ram trucks.
I applied thru Mark Dodge a couple of weeks ago… very easy process… and got 2.04% for 72 months with Chase…

So to get the true car $500 you have to be a pen fed member for 60 days. To contact by phone Pen Fed you might as well try flying off a building with some dental floss.
Contacted True Car was not quite as bad but absolutely not helpful except for being told the guy couldn’t help me with rates and to call Pen Fed and that I wouldn’t be eligible for the $500 incentive because I wasn’t a member.
If you go online to Pen Fed to inquire they will not let you get through the pages without your social. I won’t give my Social on line to find a rate that’s not what they publish.
Usually if you speak to someone and tell them to run your given credit score for rate purposes only so you can compare they will. But so far both times I requested a call from Pen Fed it hasn’t been returned. Same with the email I sent.
Sooooo bottom line, add expletive here, Pen Fed! Not worth financing with that business. To give a 1 star review which I did, is giving too much.
Marsh at Mark Dodge is a stellar person, super honest and they are super competitive. I’ll finance through them. I think it’s 2.37 or something close. Probably the same as Pen Fed. And that’s for 72 months. I think for 60 months it was 1.99.
Pen Fed is not a requirement for True Car, price out a truck on true car and request a code, mine came in right away through 3/5/22 no strings attached to a financial institution. The 500 will cover gas for the trip home!

You sign up for a PenFed savings account. Deposit $5 into the savings account. Wait 60 days (if your truck comes in before 60 days, it would be worth it to NOT have the $500 off ). Once your truck is delivered or almost delivered, go to the PenFed website and receive the activation code to give to the dealer. The codes have expiration dates, so don’t apply for it too early.

You will hear people talk about the PenFed discount or the Truecar discount. They are one in the same. It’s a PenFed Truecar discount.

I received a code from Truecar without being a Penfed member. No where in the fine print does it say anything about Penfed. Anyways, my truck is supposed to show up a the dealership any day now (actually was supposed to be there 12/26-1/3 LOL) and I am going to give it a shot. Will update if/when my truck ever makes it from the train yard.

Trying to shake things up a bit. I called Customer care this morning and laid out my situation to the rep. Told her my truck is complete but is JS at the plant. And it seems to me that someone has to have the power to make a phone call and get it moving. She told me she would make a note that I requested a callback from a brand mentor. That’s new, have always been told they would reach out via email. Here’s to hoping I get a call Monday!

Brand mentor? Must have renamed some jobs since the French took over.

I talked to a Ram executive and it made no difference, good luck.
