2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Anyone taken a look at Autotrader lately to see what dealers are asking for used trucks? I checked today for 20/21 2500 Laramies and it's had to find anything under $70k. I agree it’s painful to wait but we’ll worth ordering new

That's basically why I ordered new. I think one 2018 Laramie we looked was priced at like 65k. A 2017 laramie hemi was at 63k. One of the sales guys at the dealership recommended buying new because the price difference was only a few thousand. So that's what I did. Just ordered one and got what I wanted.

I look from time to time just to see where things are. Found almost an identical match to my 3500 CC HO DRW longhorn on a dealer lot in California. Dealer was asking $103k. That’s $10k over MSRP and almost $20k more than I paid. Nuts!!

Just for fun a couple weeks ago I swung into a local dealership SE WI and the only HD truck on the lot was a 2019 Limited with 55,000 miles priced at $80,000. Crazy times..

I had thought about trying to develop a relationship between order date and sequence number based on the orders on the crowdsource spreadsheet. But I haven't had the time. It's not something I'm all that experienced with.

Anyway, let me know if you have any other thoughts on this data over in the 2022 HD Crowdsourced VIN/Order Tracking thread.

Ignore the odd spikes. Note Dates for formula 5/6/2021 = 44322

I saw a 20 power wagon with 17k miles on a dealer lot while driving home on new years eve. Pulled in to take a closer look. Had a tag on it for 74k. They also had a very highly optioned 18 tradesman Cummins with 40k miles for 70k. SE PA - between philly and Allentown.

Forgive my ignorance, but is FCA responsible for arranging transport from the rail yard to the dealership, or is it the dealership? I know many people have had trucks sitting at the rail yards for weeks and it sounds like the dealerships don’t really do much to help out. With the help of Spud8610, I was able to log in to the auto carrier site. My dealership has 12 vehicles, including my truck, that have been sitting at the rail yard for weeks. The dealership says they’ll get to the lot when they get to the lot. It seems to me the dealerships would want to push for getting their stock in as quickly as possible, given they’re paying on it and want to sell. Maybe I’m just not clear on the process as a whole.
You got me a little concerned bud, since my truck should be hitting that same yard in 6-8 days.

Picked up my 2500 Hemi on 12/23. Found this unplugged. I plugged it together before pic. I think it’s to the active shutters in the grill. Maybe some one can confirm. ? No check engine lights with it plugged or un plugged.

And just think, it has that troublesome CP4 pump on it for that price. With any luck the pump recall will be done before they sell it.

I was just on Interstate 70 westbound headed toward Washington PA. There’s a car hauler with a load of new HD’s headed west I would presume from Baltimore? There’s a Billet Silver sport DRW 3500 hanging on the back. Tried to snap a pic but couldn’t act fast enough.

Looks a little big for the shutters.

Was there a billet silver night edition? This is right by me and I’m expecting my truck any day.
