2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

well....per brv10, I have made it to "E" and should expect to be rolling through the alphabet today/tomorrow. Aug. 23 order of a Gasser Limited Mega.
As happy with this movement as any I have had each morning.

Oh, and it's a Friday truck so ... uh yea....I guess.

Forgive my ignorance, but is FCA responsible for arranging transport from the rail yard to the dealership, or is it the dealership? I know many people have had trucks sitting at the rail yards for weeks and it sounds like the dealerships don’t really do much to help out. With the help of Spud8610, I was able to log in to the auto carrier site. My dealership has 12 vehicles, including my truck, that have been sitting at the rail yard for weeks. The dealership says they’ll get to the lot when they get to the lot. It seems to me the dealerships would want to push for getting their stock in as quickly as possible, given they’re paying on it and want to sell. Maybe I’m just not clear on the process as a whole.

You're not alone. It is FCA that handles transport. The dealership I work at has had this happen a lot. They can't get an answer as to why either

It is my understanding (and I’m just going off of what I can recall reading here) its through the factory. But I think I recall a couple of members saying their salesman did have contact with the transport company and were able to ask that their trucks be expedited. Hope that answers your question.

That’s great! So no equipment list yet, but are you D1?
I ordered a Laramie gas 2500 NE on 12/18.
Are you a MD order?
I think I’m D1 but not sure. I just know all parts have been gathered so I think I am ( I picture my truck laying in a pile of parts). BUZZUTI was able to confirm his mid-December order is D1 if that helps.
I actually ordered from a local dealer in Ohio that is willing to honor my supplier FFP control number. They locked in my trade for my F150 too. Sure hoping they honor that since nothing is signed. Worst case, “ I know what I got” and will go elsewhere to sell it out right.

Interesting. I guess on a positive note, mine isn’t late until Monday, given they told me a delivery date range through the 10th. Hopefully they get it there. With a mid august order, I guess more waiting is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Yep, as great as the crowdsourced spreadsheet is, it only tracks a limited set of the available options (trim, cab, engine, drive, wheels, BSM, and sunroof). There are probably many, many more potential part shortages that may impact how a particular order gets scheduled. If we had every possible option on the spreadsheet, some patterns might emerge. Who knows, it could be a shortage of chrome grilles and tow hooks, rambox beds, a chip in the tow tech package, patriot blue paint, or bed steps. Unfortunately, we don't have the information and Ram isn't likely to provide it to us based on recent history.

I'll update it again in the next couple of days now that the factory is up and running again. But it parses the trucks out by many more features. Of course I don't know when all those trucks get delivered. But the equipment listing and window sticker dates should be a good indication of prioritization.

Build sheet found as of this morning.
That means its built right ?
4x4 cc 6.4 Tradesman ordered 11/11

Wow, that's a massive spreadshseet. Unfortunately without the order dates, I'm not sure how to parse it all. You could probably make a good estimation based on the sequence numbers, but that would be a pretty large undertaking.

I had thought about trying to develop a relationship between order date and sequence number based on the orders on the crowdsource spreadsheet. But I haven't had the time. It's not something I'm all that experienced with.

Anyway, let me know if you have any other thoughts on this data over in the 2022 HD Crowdsourced VIN/Order Tracking thread.

Just left my dealer, and I feel better and worse all at the same time. We penned a good deal on the truck that I am happy with but he couldn’t give me an update on when my truck will show. Being close to the border my truck will leave the plant with a Mexican truck transport then go to Laredo where an American transport company will take it to the dealer. As much of a mystery as the truck transport has been for some of you guys I’m bummed that I have to rely on two of them with one being out of Mexico!!! Salesman said he never knew the last two trucks he took delivery of were en route. They just showed up on a truck. No updates from the factory.

And an FYI he told me he believes that Megacabs are not being built right now. Don’t know how accurate that is, but it’s what he said.
