2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Finally got the call from the dealer this morning.
Truck was deliverd to dealer yesterday, and starting PDI as we speak.
My saleman was off yesterday and he told me someone sent it out to have the bedlinner sprayed in.
He told them today that it wasn't ordered with one, so why did ya do that??????WTF???????
He said he got the "deer in the headlight look". LOL
He said, Merry Christmas from Victory Ram.
Ya won't be charged for it.
Thank ya, sir.
I'll pick up today around 5pm.
It has been a journey, as ya all know.
I'll get some pics up after I get her washed up from all the drool I'll probably get on it.
6-25 order, so it's been awhile.
3500 Laramie CC 6.4 Hemi SRW semi loaded tech options.

Earlier this morning, I was not feeling loved by ordering a Limited. So being bored, early and full of coffee, I went thru the tracking sheet to see if any Limiteds were being built. Here are my findings of vehicles with equipment listings sheets that have been reported to the tracking sheet:

August-1
September-17
October-27
November-36
December to date-10

So yes they are building some Limited's and it seems to be increasing slightly. According to the equipment list dates they seem to come in groups around every 4 weeks +/- for a week at a time. This would make sense in order to have the stock for the assembly line more in line with the orders. These numbers also didn't differentiate between 3/4 or 1 ton or the different engines/options, only tracked for Limited with equipment lists.

Retire and bored make for a long day when waiting on the truck. Like some others, I have to consider cancelling and going with MD. I'm 6 weeks in, but would probably save a couple of thousand more dollars. If it is correct that it would come faster to MD to make up the last 6 weeks, I might have to. I need the truck by the beginning of March for several trips upcoming.

Been watching it also... Seems like the Crew cabs are mostly in the build as of now according to the sheet. The fastest truck built is Hemi Crew or Mega.. The high output trucks seem slow except for the loaded limited Mega after mine that was built quick.. Ram chat told me mine was in production yesterday but dealer said still D1 so who knows lol....

For the chart - My order date was 7/14/21 and I have 2 different delivery dates: Dealer says, Dec 3rd thru 12th
and Ram Chat says, dec 18 thru Jan 1 2022
Who is right???

I'm an August order. NG157289, Limited. I've been in D1 since 11-05 came out to D and went right back to D1. Still no news of a production date.

I have actually forgotten how long it has sat in D status....still there. I probably will hold the record of a truck ordered after start of production sitting in "D" status.

Ordered a 3500 Crew Cab 4x4 Chassis Cab on 11/29. Current Status is "D" and Serial Number has been assigned (I don't know what it is though).

Interestingly, the Chassis Cab options are a little different than the normal builds. The HO isn't listed as an option, but the Aisin is the default Diesel Transmission.

Train must be making good time, my dealer ETA actually is now a day earlier than before. We have the ETA window of 12/12/2021 - 12/21/2021

I assume that they factor in time to get the truck from the rail yard to the dealer, so maybe my truck is in Denver now?

Sure hope it doesn't show up with a bullet hole in it like that one guys truck did. Wonder how that all worked out, did we ever hear?

you could order 2022's that early?
I forget exactly when they opened up orders but yes it was a little before me they allowed 2022 orders to be placed. Although production did not start until sometime in early august I believe the 9th??

My truck was off the train on Monday in El Mirage, AZ, which is the far west valley of Phoenix. Has to make its way to dealership on far southeast side of Phoenix. Probably about an hour to hour and a half drive (Phoenix is sprawling) I’ve seen where people have said 2-4 days once truck is off the train. GM told me it’s been taking up to a week to get the truck to the dealers due to shortage of drivers. I’ll give an updated day count once it arrives. Hoping it’s there by this weekend.

Yeah. Chassis cab has some options you can't get on the pickups and some you can't. Of course different frame from cab rearward as well. Option for 72gals of fuel is nice! Only Cummins avail is a lower output version of the SO. It's in there to help with longevity.
