I think they should’ve included your avatar on the upper rear quarter panel. When you get your truck you will have to do that with your Grumpy Old Fart moniker.

Thanks for taking the time to write a nice detailed review - but you got me concerned about paint chips on bumper. I had a 2015 2500 Limited with painted bumper and never noticed any chips - did they change the paint process or was I just not noticing on a Granite colored bumper? (I did notice when dealer's tech misjudged distance and scuffed corner).
So tell me about Ceramic coating options / pros/cons, best potential sources Southeast Louisiana.

My truck is Pearl White, so any small chips are can be seen if you are looking for them. The two I got were in the front bumper, and were from a guy pulling a trailer with a mini-excavator on it. He went over a bridge, rocks and mud flew off, and chips happened. Got my gf's Lexus as well, but I have a paint pen for that.

Since the front bumper is vertical, I am getting Xpel wrap put on it. The rest of the truck will be ceramic coated so I don't have to worry about stains. Getting those two, plus some tint done in Harahan on David Dr. Windshield tint is 90%, and will probably end up going to 20% on the front sides

Finally back to reality after 11 days in Baja for the Baja 1000. 40 pages of updates since I left! I am not going to go back and read all of the 40 pages, so I hope that a bunch of you got your trucks in the past 11 days!!! As for me, this is day number 200 since my order on May 7. I was hopeful that @brv10 was right and that I would come back to a build sheet, but that didnt happen. My last POC had a ship date of 11/24. I highly doubt that will happen, but I can dream that might be my build date??????

Did you guys take home the championship? How did Baja go??

I tried a few local dealers before finding this forum and deciding to drive from Lafayette to Lake Chuck. Never heard of MD before this. This will be my first Ram, once it’s built.

Did you guys take home the championship? How did Baja go??

1,227 race miles (point to point this year... 2nd longest ever I think). Almost 2,000 miles after pre-running. Came in 4th in class after getting stuck in a bottle neck for almost an hour outside of Catavina I think it was. Only issue the entire race was 1 flat tire before race mile 155.

I see a lot of post from people that ordered trucks as far back as May or June that are still waiting for delivery. Is there a pattern here that either certain models, or is it particular dealerships, that tend to be slower to receive a truck? I ordered mine, 2500 Laramie CC 6.7, on October 9th and was told last week it was in D1 status. Ordered from Dave Smith in Kellogg, ID.

In my opinion it’s a mystery never to be solved. It does seem like the early orders like mine have been slower in most cases. Seems like things are moving faster now. Good luck. Some get built real fast.

That ceramic is very inexpensive compared to one I checked on yesterday at a local detailer. For the works, clay bar, 2 coats ceramic and some other songs and dances $1600 and he gaurantees for 6 yrs, said with the usage I am planning probably last 10 yrs. I'm going to put down a deposit for when the truck comes in so I can lock in his price. I know he isn't the cheapest in the area, nor the most expensive, but the work I saw is amazing.
