2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

wellll ****. just found out I'll be losing my job at the end of the yr basically. After waiting since June and my truck is finally almost at the dealer, but I guess its better it didn't arrive yet since now I'll still have the large down payment I was going to put on it. So assuming I can get my deposit back, somebody might be happy with dennis dillon as a nice 3500 longhorn cc drw will be available!

prob could wing it and still get it, but better to play it safe just in case. Yes its a pity party for me!
I am not sure what you do for a living but maybe some one on here can help. I know, I work for a company with several facilities across the US that is looking for good help in Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico. Let us know what you are looking for!

Holy crap. Caravana offered $36k on my 2020 1500 fully loaded Laramie with 16k miles and vroom offered me $55k. Crazy.

Carava offered me $25k on my 2017 RC LB DRW SLT HO and I sold it outright for $44k. They’re way out of touch.

ok so I have a dumb question, I ordered my 2500 with bucket seats assuming I would get the full center consul, but I’ve seen trucks that were listed as bucket seats with the fold down seat consul. What determines what configuration I will get is it an option or a level?
I think it is the 5-seat option get the console, 6-seat gets the fold-down seat.

Got some good news this morning. The equipment listing populated for my order:

This is for an early June order of a 3500 Limited (cc, 8foot bed, Cummins HO, SRW) with just about every option (no aux switches - I don’t like the look of them). For those of you who have been waiting it out, hopefully this is a sign that they are getting the parts needed to build some some more trucks. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll see a window sticker in a day or two.

One minor item of note: when I originally ordered the truck as a 2021, I added the protection package which adds a transfer case skid plate. I noticed that this option appears to be gone from the 2022 configuration, but it did show on my equipment listing.

C'mon RAM! You proved me wrong on the build date I said you would not make and you made it!

Today is the estimated ship date, can you keep rolling along in the right direction? Just add one more rail car for the satisfaction of proving me wrong again! Oh, and dont lose my key fobs :)

I’m guessing it depends on what they’re needing for inventory at the time you get a quote. They were the highest offer for me by about $2k.

Tonight's analysis of the Big Game:

Extracted info from the Tracking sheet with some analysis of numbers for the fun of it - my glass is half full - bored, retired, waiting for truck to leave San Antonio on its way to New Orleans.

No dog in the fight - no connection to Chrysler, RAM, Stellantis, etc.

As of 11/9/21 - 13 weeks after Production began (essentially 12 since shut down a week in Sept for parts)

576 Trucks listed on Tracking - 293 (50.8%) with Equipment Listing - 268 (46.5%) with Window Sticker - 55 (9.5%) delivered

In the last 2 weeks (thru 11/9); 114 Equipment Lists added; 132 Window Stickers; 19 Trucks Delivered
EDIT: Of the early (May-July) trucks, 85 of the 114 added Equipment Lists in the past 2 weeks and 102 of the 132 added Window Stickers in the past 2 weeks are from this group - What is that - Light at the End of the Tunnel?

Of the 57 Trucks ordered in May: 37 (64.9%) with Eq List - 35 (61.4%) with Wind Sticker - 5 (8.8%) Delivered - 20 (35.0%) Lost In Space
Of the 134 Trucks ordered in June: 91 (67.9%) with Eq List - 84 (62.7%) with Wind Sticker - 15 (11.2%) Delivered - 43 (32.1%) Lost In Space
Of the 157 Trucks ordered in July: 102 (65.0%) with Eq List - 93 (59.2%) with Wind Sticker - 23 (14.6%) Delivered - 55 (35.0%) Lost In Space

Of the 114 Trucks ordered in August: 49 (43.0%) with Eq List - 44 (38.6%) with Wind Sticker - 10 (8.8%) Delivered - 65 (57.0%) No Eq List
Of the 56 Trucks ordered in September: 14 (25.0%) with Eq List - 12 (21.4%) with Wind Sticker - 2 (3.6%) Delivered - 42 (75.0%) No Eq List

Did you order from bergeron?

yeah, wasnt sure about the tan/brown, but my last 5 vehicles had black interiors so wanted to try something different
I like it a lot, looks better in person honestly.
I also have had black interior in the last 6 trucks and wanted something different and ordered the ram without actually seeing it in person. I finally saw a guy parked at a store the other day and me being creepy went and checked the interior and I can say I am very glad I ordered it now. Beautiful truck by the way

So I was checking with dealers a couple weeks ago since i had no build date for my May order… one dealer had a truck in transit that is close to what I ordered. They’re offering $2800 off MSRP, but $900 docs and adding $1800 in for destination (on top of the destination that’s in the MSRP). lol. No thanks!

So just to understand. DLR is told by RAM, your truck will get to the DLR from "date to date" and all the DLR knows is that? So when truck shows up with 5-6 cars they have to rush and make room for the new vehicles? I thought they would at least know what day the truck cames in with their own inventory?

Its a different process for each company.

Carvana is the easiest as they give you a check or wire you the money when they pick the car up.

Vroom is a little more complicated but in my case they pay the most. First, enter your info on the website to obtain your quote. If you accept you have to load pictures of license, registration, title if you have it. I don't think I had to load pics of the vehicle for Vroom but I cant remember. Once they receive the docs they send you documents to sign digitally and will also send you a overnight Fed Ex package for a few documents to wet sign and return. If you have your title you overnight it back to to them with wet signed documents. Once they receive it they will schedule a pick up and will either send you a check or wire the money to your account NLT 2 days after pick up.

Seems a little sketchy sending in your title before receiving payment but its how they operate. They received everything from me yesterday and I received an email stating they are currently scheduling pick up. Total timeframe with Vroom should be 7-14 days from start to finish.
keep in mind that they have the right to refuse or change the amount of the vehicle value after its inspected by them. Can be as simple as not mentioning a scratch they find, rust, damage the carrier does in transit and blames on you the customer rather than their bottom line, etc. Most of these companies just have a car carrier/hot-shot pick it up and deliver to a partner that actually does the inspection for a final value.

I went to carmax got an inspection in person and givemethevin.com beat their offer by a few hundred bucks. Again, I was sketched out about the possibility of changing the value after receiving my truck but got lucky as someone locally offered my $2.5k higher in a private sale. Now I just whip around in my jeep and am truck-less with no end in sight. (My state does not have a tax break for trade-ins)

Bottom line, be as accurate as possible with your pictures and descriptions on these online sites. And keep in mind the instant value you see on your computer is subject to change. You'll always get higher price in a private sale if you can be patient and go without a truck while yours comes in.
