2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I see posts of guys getting their trucks in 2 months, and most others waiting 6 or more...having just ordered a week ago...I figure it will be spring....so do I order my bed cover now, or wait? do I research a ceramic coat now or wait? And other accessories, oh, the drama of it all... :D
I would say wait. I say this beca I don’t practice what I preach. I already ordered $2660 worth of bumpers I will have to store. The deal was too good to pass up. I’m trying to hold off on buying wheels and tires and have so far been successful but I know that’ll change about when I think I’m a month away. I also will be ordering lights from Ridged Industries and a winch probably on that Black Friday thing folks keep telling me about.
I’m assuming after I get everything assembled Ram will cancel my order.

Well tomorrow is the first hard date I was provided from Ram, the build date is supposed to be 08 Nov, they say I will get an email from the Customer Support that it has entered the build process. I will be surprised if it really happens. I will just go down into the garage and lay the MX4 out, the trailer hitch, the fuel caps, DEF cap, and POC in the location where the truck is supposed to be and drink a beer. Maybe have a Sherlock Holmes moment and solve the build priority equation.

I would not mind finding a spare set of Longhorn or Laramie 18 inch wheels (not 20 inch, not black, not steel) - and I am reasonably close to Lake Charles - anyone having Mark Dodge replace 18 inch OE Laramie or Longhorn wheels with custom wheels - I might be interested in takeoffs - please message me directly.
Best ACEd
I'm thinking about it. Mine will have the Walnut BRN pockets though. And hard to find an aftermarket wheel that will go good with Pearl Wht and RV Walnut Brown...

Nice. I got the sport so looks like all I’ll have to do is vinyl the mirrors, paint the grille and debadge. Gonna try to find someone selling their NE wheels so I can enjoy looking at it without dropping too much into it for awhile.

I will be selling my OEM night edition wheels and tires when and if my new truck makes it.

Terrible pictures but here’s what I got. I’ll get better ones when I pick it up on Tuesday. Had to move delivery up. Couldn’t wait a whole week. LolView attachment 25190View attachment 25191View attachment 25192View attachment 25193View attachment 25194View attachment 25195View attachment 25196
Imo that's the best color combo for the longhorns....I really wish you could get a NE longhorn cuz that's what I would've ordered....nice truck!

Just a query here ....do most of you keep the emissions stuff and just get new trucks every couple years or do any of you do the weight reduction mods and keep the truck longer? My state isnt communist about certain aspects of a vehicle so any environmental warriors need not broadcast pointless regulations...

I like that! What state? I want to live in a non-communist state.

They did not start production until August 7 or there abouts and they shut down due to parts issues for a week in September - I dont think you can realistically count wait time before August.
Having said that, its now 3 months (less the week) since production began and there are many orders placed well before August who are still waiting for Equipment Lists which seems inexplicable when others who placed orders in September have their trucks. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the delays and it is really unexcusable considering trucks are being delivered incl dealers.
When I ordered, my dealer speculated 12-16 weeks - it was built at 8 weeks and is apparently in the black hole waiting for shipment, so it looks like it might make 12 weeks (hopefully)
On looking at spreadsheet as of 11/5/2021 only 1 of 56 trucks ordered in September have been delivered (3500 BigHorn Crew SRW Hemi).

And we appear to be moving - more than Half of orders before August have Equipment Lists and Window Stickers.

No help yet for those not yet moving, but there is hope. Still no obvious pattern as to why some move forward while others dont?

Deliveries seem to be at the mercy of shipping resources (train, boat, trucking).

56 May orders - 35 Eq List (63%) - 32 Window Stickers - 3 delivered (5%) - 24 no significant movement?
131 June orders - 75 Eq List (56%) - 70 Window Stickers - 14 delivered (11%) - 56 no significant movement?
153 July orders - 85 Eq Lists (55%) - 80 Window Stickers - 21 delivered (14%) - 68 no significant movement?
112 August orders - 39 Eq Lists (34%) - 36 Window Stickers - 8 delivered (7%) - 73 no significant movement?
56 Sept orders - 9 Eq Lists (16%) - 9 Window Stickers - 1 delivered (2%) - 47 no movement yet?

I'm one of those 68 ordered in July. Truck has been built since 10/8 waiting on a train. I know plenty folks are in the long wait just for theirs to be built, but also crazy trucks are built, passed inspection and have stickers waiting for them to be shipped. I also get the issues with shipping, but then there are those that ordered well after me/us that not only have had theirs built, but also have them in the driveway... :(

I would be getting on my dealer, you have been in storage FAR too long!

Oh I know. I last checked on 11/1 and that was the latest. I'll reach out and Monday put some pressure on both the dealer and FCA/Ram Chat to escalate if able.
