Thank you so much!Yes, they are exposed.
I don't have any close-ups, but have this one from last year when I added my fishing rod holders that shows the two rows of them along the top. I used a few of the bolts to mount the aluminum studs I used for the rod holders.

The shop I went to had no problems with me being in the shop. They let me drive the truck in, watch the progress, then back the truck back out. This was in the height of the pandemic, so while that could have something to do with it, the other major topper dealer in the Denver area where I bought my Snugtop for my 4th gen let me do the same years ago. Unfortunately, it's their shop and their rules.
I thought they canceled the OD green for 22?I have an olive green ram on order. I know I want a soft topper, but split between what color to select. Looking for photos of the olive green rams with the soft toppers to help me decide. Lets see some pics!
Got my order in a 2 months before ramtrucks.com removed the option on the website. Crossing my fingers I get it.I thought they canceled the OD green for 22?
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I was back and forth on the color and I do regret not getting it.Got my order in a 2 months before ramtrucks.com removed the option on the website. Crossing my fingers I get it.
I would go black as it matches every color, but after having one i would not get one again.I have an olive green ram on order. I know I want a soft topper, but split between what color to select. Looking for photos of the olive green rams with the soft toppers to help me decide. Lets see some pics!

I used the vinyl rear for about a week and realized it was just going to become opaque in a month and replaced it with the solid panel in the back which of course makes it even worse as far as being dark inside. I had about the same pros and cons but will add that mud stains them and running down the road they look like a starving horse that you can see its ribs....I came out of walmart one time to find someone unsnapped the driver's side snaps (that side was out of view for most of the lot). I never had anything in the bed but everytime I did carry my camping equipment ie ARB fridge etc I worried. One other con is on a hard cap the rear window lifts up and if it is raining or dusty you don't get covered in rain or dust. On the softopper there is no way to open it without getting covered. oh they should also come with a hmcsl and they don't.I think I posted this before, but I also had one (on my Chevy). It had its pros and it’s cons. I ultimately did not get one on my Ram.

Cons: Lacked security, large blind spots on sides due to lack of side windows, blind spot behind you after the window hazed over after a couple years(replaceable, but I didn’t), dark inside due to lack of side windows), doesn’t look as good as a hard shell on some trucks
Pros: Cheap compared to a hard shell, fold down in seconds to use full bed/haul gravel, unique looking, keeps things dry pretty well (minor leaks at corners where water runs off, fine for the most part. seams didn’t leak!)

Helpful, thank youView attachment 24661
Not a soft topper but here's black on olive.
