2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

That was my guess too. However, my dealer is in Western Washington and my truck went through Texas up to Nebraska, then west to Portland, OR.
Who did you order from? I’m up north of Seattle and ordered from Bud Clary in Moses Lake

I-5 Dodge in Chehalis. It took 2-ish weeks to get from Saltillo to Barnes Yard in Portland. For Moses Lake I could imagine a cut of rail cars getting dropped off in Idaho or in Hermiston and going the rest of the way by semi-truck, but what do I know.

Mose lake vehicles go to the Spokane rail yard.

Yes it's really there and looks amazing, just got the pictures from my dealer!!! Hopefully will be driving it before the end of the week... Wish I could leave work right now to go pick it up... It's even harder to wait for it right now given that my own work schedule is what is the delay now
I picked my Limited Mega cab 2500 (night edition) up, got everything set up. Small scuff in clear coat on hood from shipping, dealer is taking care of. Other than that she's a beauty.

Going to be a bit of a learning curve with all the electronics. I can take close up pics of anything if someone has a question or wants to see something up close.

Did notice this in the manual... I'm guessing that this means the radar sensor for the 2022 is in the center of the windshield and not in the bumper?

If so that makes me feel a little bit better about getting the after market bumper replacements not interfering with that collision and acc system.

It never was in the bumper or grill and it's a camera.

Some were incorrectly saying the camera in the grill was the ACC/FCW device. It never was. The camera in the grille is the front facing camera.

I was referring to the "radar" that it mentioned when it talks about the ACC. My father has a f250 and it's acc is controlled by a rectangular radar sensor located in the front bumper. There was some speculation that the 2022 ram was going to change to something similar... Or at least I read that before I bought it. I guess that isn't the case.

Welp, one of those long lost June orders showed up today.............I will add pics tomorrow
It is damn nice.
nice can't wait to see it. I'm a june order also, but sadly mine has been built since the beg of this month, but I guess something is wrong with the radio or something as I'm still waiting on it to be shipped (build sheet but no sticker yet). yay

Been a long day watching all the Build sheets post and not seeing many MC. Builds. Early is authorized RAM! 8 Nov est build date. Had to settle between two trucks today. One day I hope to be the guy with pictures on this forum....

For what it's worth,, FCA is way ahead of the game compared to ford when it comes to ADAS IMO. I deal with these types of sensors daily at work, and always HATE when I have to deal with a Ford radar. Especially when it comes to the oem software to calibrate this stuff. wiTECH is so much better then IDS/FDRS

Hi Andrea. Do you have any inside info on some of the trucks going to JS status and others shipped almost immediately? For example my 3500 HO Limited Mega Cab has sat in JS since 9-14. I have been told waiting on parts, emissions issue, relay recall, or waiting to fill rail car for the delivery area. I know there are quite a few other members in the same situation with no clear answer why. Wouldn’t be a big deal but me like many others need these trucks to show up before the end of the year for financial purposes. I didn’t think that would be an issue with a early July order but now I’m having to think about a backup plan. Thanks for any input you have.
Hi Silveram. Thanks for your question. I'm not sure my crystal ball is any cleaner than anyone else's. So, the best thing I can do is give you facts and observations from a dealer perspective. First, and most helpful is that, early on once 2022s started production, we saw many go into JS status and stay there for quite a while. Miraculously, when I looked a couple days ago, only 6 units were in JS (temp storage). And, many are now in shipping status or even delivered (shipping is slow - especially for those made in Mexico). So, depending on what super chip-rich options are on your build, chances are now good it will be finished up and in line for shipping soon. Now, for the good and bad news for our other readers who may have ordered more recently.... Many newer orders and some older have stayed in D or D1 status for a long time (1.5 mos+). It seems like they are opting to sequence Ds further out if they need more chips or back ordered parts (power running boards, ttpms, etc). The good news there is that most are starting production within 1.5 mos. Barring chips and back orders, production goes fairly fast once started. The recall repair on Cummins diesel is now available at the dealerships. As of right now, I haven't heard they are repairing at the factory (not set up to) or swapping the part, but rather having it done at the dealer. Lug nut recall only required new torque specs on the labels and in the manuals. I hope this helps. And I hope you get to enjoy your vehicle and tax benefits in 2021!

Hello, All.

I've been following this forum for a long time, and all the while, I expected our truck would be built and delivered within some semblance of a reasonable timeframe. I did not bother to enter our info into the spreadsheet for that reason. I entered it tonight, 3 and a half months after our order date and after another text from our dealer that the ship date has been moved for the 5th time to November 11th.

Ordered July 4th, D1 August 27th, first ship date September 7th. Today is . . .

Fully loaded Laramie HO, DRW (needed front bench) equipped to tow a 20,000 GVWR fifth wheel.

Thank you all for your generosity of information and solidarity in this process. And apologies for not adding our data point earlier.

My family of 6 (kids age 2-14) and one big slobbering dog are going full time in an RV. With what we thought was a conservative cushion. We now find ourselves 6 weeks out of our house. We are anxiously waiting for a new truck to take us on the road. We've never done anything like this before, and in all our research the RAM is what you want if you are going to really tow.

One day when we get on the road, we will be AllinRV.family.

Thanks again everyone.

Hello and welcome to the forum....I'm retired military and my wife is active duty (AGR) we got tired of buying, renting and selling houses so we full time RV since July 2019....its really not that bad. If you have any questions PM me and I'll answer what I can....once again welcome to the forum and good luck with your new Ram order.

People, people, people!! Do a little digging. Most questions asked can simply be answered by reading the FIRST post in this thread or by following the links in that post. RamChat access, build status code explanation, build sheet accessibility, inform of window sticker population. Also, has a link to order tracker spreadsheet where YOU can enter your VIN and information for tracking. I know it’s EASIER just to ask and hope for answers but this GUARANTEES at least 2 more unnecessary posts to an already bloated thread. If you STILL have a question or do not understand after applying this, feel free to DM me and I’ll do my best to answer question without adding more unneeded posts.

You cannot find any information on Ram truck inventory. There are basically a hand full of Laramie 2500s across the country. The news is hiding the fact that Ram is in trouble with no chip inventory to complete builds

Please share any information if you may have so that customers who have been waiting 6months are more can make an informed decision as to what to do with their orders. Wait or buy another brand that has inventory is the deciding factor.

Mines been in D for over 4 months. You mention power running boards. I wonder if thats the hold up on mine. Laramie level b with power boards. Has anyone seen many power running boards being delivered?

Mine (with power running boards) has been sitting in D/D1 status forever, but they say they have all the parts.

Looking at the crowd sourced spreadsheet, I am the 25th Megacab 2500 without build sheet. I specifically sorted the data to make it look better for me instead of the crushing repeated denial of an equipment listing. Does it mean anything? Nope but I feel like I have accomplished something today :) Thank you @OfficerDirtySanchez for making this data available!

Yep. Sad that Ram will not provide clarity on orders.
