2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Yes, I agree... but I can see it taking a couple months to get from Mexico to Pittsburgh and at the dealership. I am trying to resist buying my window vent visors until the truck gets here... I dis remove my hood deflector, bed toolbox, rear bed step and N-Fab step bars from my 2021 before I traded it in. I will consider the Longhorn power steps, and maybe remove them for the NFAB steps that I think I like more. I'm not convinced that I will like the truck with the bare look of the hidden steps.

First thing that I will get done will be replace the junk I pulled from the 21, and immediately get my local tint dude to do my front doors and a tint visor on the front glass. I am half way torn... take delivery with the NEXEN tires or try to make a deal where I have them install BFG AT KO2 tires before delivery? I love the look of the BFG.

Who did you deal with and were you satisfied? I am 30 minutes south of Pittsburgh.

I doubt their deal would offer any more than $75 per tire, so you would be out of pocket for the difference.

I ordered my leveling kit the other day and it already shipped, i also ordered my 37” ridge grapplers and 18” methods. Those will go on as soon as i get the truck and the tires aren’t back ordered.

I’m pretty sure he went to Ron Lewis in cranberry. I went to Jim shorkeys in north hills

I’ve always ordered my trucks through Diehl. Had a good experience every time and the same salesman always took good care of me. Called in this time and was told basically “they’re selling at Or above MSRP and if you’re going to compare me with another dealer over a few bucks it’s not worth my time.” Decided to go with a local dealer and their price was invoice minus incentives.

Ordered 7/13. Still D status. Still waiting on parts according to Ramchat this morning. I traded in my 2019 Ram 1500 when I ordered since trade in values were really high this summer and I was told it would be 10-12 weeks until I got the new truck. Since it doesn't look like I'll have it before winter I just put continental extreme contact tires on my daily driver.
Wow, that is incredible. I ordered my 3500 HO on August 7th, production started on the 9th and the dealer said it was D status. By the end of the week it was D1, I checked exactly 4 weeks later and it was on a rail car...... "Somwhere".... now almost 5 weeks later, it is in a rail yard in the "Midwest"..... I think the biggest issue is transport time, not build time. To be fair, dealers around me are starving for vehicles, they want to get them in ASAP, but they told me they are absolutely powerless when the vehicle is in transit. Even FCA HQ cannot push the railroads or the teamsters to get the vehicles delivered. I think there is foul play involved with our corrupt government trying to destroy our economy, but that is my personal opinion..... Make everyone feel the pain... = Socialism....

Correct. Me and another member in here used Ron Lewis up in Cranberry. They offer invoice on orders. My 2021 was purchased from them this summer for $72,900. They gave me $72,000 trade 10 days ago with 5300 miles on it. Now I'm waiting to hand them the money back towards the 23 when it arrives.

I did talk to Beirl up in Moon Twp who is the dealer I had bought my previous 4 vehicles from. They would only offer straight msrp on orders, and that really chapped my rear end. I likely will not ever do business with them again because of that. They made a mistake there, I buy a new vehicle about every 12 to 18 months, now I'll be doing that at Ron Lewis unless they burn that bridge.

My salesman is Marc at Ron Lewis. He's been fairly good to deal with, he's slow on responding to text, but he gets to it later that day or the next. Michelle is the sales manager, she's actually good people.

Invoice on my Limited LH is about 6 grand under msrp, so that's fair.

Trading in my 21 cost me around 4500 in taxes, but... what are trade values going to look like in November or December? If I had that crystal ball I could have known if I was being smart or being a fool. I rolled the dice and took the cash.

I remember being in the GM plant in Arlington, TX in the 70's, 80's and 90's and seeing multiple colors on the assembly line at the same time. I am sure things have changed in 25 plus years but don't see how color batches would have become a thing. Unless they are painting a fleet color.
You may have seen my 1996 Impala SS roll down that line maybe?!?

Same here! I got a great deal through Diehl the last time and vowed to buy there religiously as long as they took care of me and were fair on the price but they burned that bridge. The local dealer (Solomon CDJR in Brownsville) has been trying to get my business for the last year or so. After Diehl let me down, I went to them and I feel like so far, they’ve taken care of me. Invoice price on an order, order placed on time. I told them the same thing, treat me right and be fair and I’ll order my trucks here religiously. We will see how they carry out their side of the agreement when the truck is delivered and sitting on their lot. As of right now, my original POC is showing an invoice price around 7% below MSRP before taxes. The only thing that has me stumped is they quoted me a $650 document fee which seems high but I can discuss that when we do the deal. I would like to have gotten below invoice as some of these Mark Dodge customers have done, but they’re 20 hours drive away and I feel like by the time you calculate my time, fuel, hotel, food, etc I would be losing out on whatever “deal” I got. The local dealer is a 10 minute drive and then I have the “bought here, service here” added benefits. Plus I’m keeping my $$ local and as a business owner myself, I feel there’s something to be said for that!

Ordered my level 3 power wagon on 6/7............still in D or D1, who really knows. Nothing ever updates and the dealer doesn't tell me much.

Ramchat has told me for 4 months that the parts are gathered.

I guess best case scenario is the truck gets built this month (not holding my breath) and arrives to me in December

Ramchat doesn't know until the dealer inquiries about it.. i checked with ram chat everyday this week with the same response "all parts are gathered" when i was informed by my dealer i was in paint i checked ram chat and they also said i was in paint. So ram chat only updates when the dealer checks status.

Sweet! I want to see that interior! Love that color combo. I was to scared to order such a gorgeous combo. I'd either always keep it clean and never use my truck for it's intended purpose or it would stay dirty too long and would never keep it looking as good as it should...especially that frost.
Thanks! I’ll get you an interior pic. The indigo looks darker than I had hoped. Almost looks black and white. I still really like it though. This will really be my wife’s truck most of the time. Hopefully staying clean won’t be too much of a problem lol

I ordered 6/25 3500 Laramie CC Hemi, Delmonico red, LB, level 2, with all the cameras, last I heard It was built and chilling in Mexico without an eta for its trip way up north. 3C63R3JJ9NG116917
Damm!! I ordered the same day, still in D status. Congrats!! 3500 Laramie SRW CC Hemi, semi tech loaded. 3C63R3EJ3NG116809. Fingers crossed, and whatever else works!!!

I had that interior color on my '18 2500 Limited, you have to have the perfect light to see any hint of blue, but that interior looks very nice.

I herd some one mention the power running boards might be made by amp? I had amps on my 2016 and really liked the led lights that lit the boards up. My 2019 didn’t have leds. It would be nice if they added this.

Slowly but surely!
Slow....Slow......there ain't NOTHING slow about that.....it was ordered two days ago (or at least it seems like it compared to most).....and its moving so FAST that its in F-Paint....and being shipped at the same time! They figured what the heck.....it will dry on the train during shipping:).....TRUCK YEAH!

They should find a way to build them on the train ride. Why not, Toyota builds vehicles on the boat ride
