2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Since we're talking about rumors....I heard that one of the delays is with the rear air level option....only duallies are being built with rear air...if you don't have the rear air option but picked sunroof....that's another reason for delay....my bff and I both ordered our trucks one after another on 6/15....mines a DRW his is SRW...no sunroof for either of us .....mine is built waiting for a train ride and his is still in D....
I just got a 2022 2500 Laramie with auto air leveling. Is that what you are calling rear air? Build time on that was around 10 weeks. No sunroof No blind spot monitoring.

Can’t push an update if it’s broke :D
That’s exactly right! I asked Uconnect if I could update myself And they said NO. There are OTA minor updates and then “s##t hit the fan“ major updates that only DealerConnect has access to. I have no access to the screen at all, so I can’t even press the “OK To Continue” button for the update!

I have sunroof and rear air on my SRW mega limited HO. It’s built and sitting waiting for a train ride to Louisiana…and I ordered July 16…. Lots of rumours flying about for sure.
Yea I agree. Just ****ty scheduling. I don’t have air suspension, sunroof, ram box or trailer cameras for my SRW mega limited HO ordered in May. Estimated ship date in November

Unless they decided to go back to the old way of doing radio updates they aren’t done on dealerconnect anymore. There’s a website that I’m pretty sure anyone can go to and download the update to a flash drive. They went away from dealerconnect radio updates several years ago. At one point they were done on the scan tool like any other module but that stopped once they started the usb flash drive updates.

Driveuconnect.com is the website. Just put the full vin in. If there’s an update it will show it. Down load to your computer, sometimes can take any where from 10 min to 2 hrs. Empty everything off of a flash drive when it’s done extract it to the drive and plug it in to the USB port. Screen saying update from this software to this software select yes and it will start the update. Just leave the car on and make sure it stays on for the whole update and doesn’t turn itself off.

I went to that website to give that a try and it says no update available…at least to me. Who knows! The TSB does reference DealerConnect but maybe just for download To create the USB:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Has a 4GB USB flash drive been created?
• YES>>> Proceed to Step 10.
• NO>>> Proceed to Step 2.
2. Go to DealerCONNECT>Service>Uconnect Command Center>Uconnect>More Information
>Dealer software downloads to download the files.

Thanks..I did all that but it just says no update availabl….YOUR VEHICLE IS UP TO DATE actually.

however, the TSB says otherwise. Wish I could do it myself…I have to drive 2.5 hours to my selling dealer for the flash. None of my local dealers will touch it … even when FCA asked them to do it! I didn’t realize the dealers had that power but apparently they do. I dont really blame them. I wouldnt want to step into this bad situation where a truck may end up being returned.

Man idk. I just know that we did it on dealerconnect up until like 2018-19 then stopped almost completely bc we were told just to go to the website and do it. You could still get updates from dealerconnect for some vehicles but was told it was being converted to the website. Never know they could’ve decided to give dealers certain updates but I doubt it. I also know sometimes they come out with tsb’s before the radio updates are available.

This is a pretty complicated update!

Same here, I have a DRW fully loaded Longhorn. Ordered on 8/16 it was built a week ago and awaiting shipment to Florida! RAM must be just randomly drawing numbers for builds lol

I don’t know why they wouldn’t touch it. Warranty will pay the dealer regardless if it is returned or not as long as everything is documented correctly. Not sure what kind of size those dealers are but I’ve heard of dealers not doing certain work bc they don’t have techs that can under warranty but that more engines and trans stuff not a update. Sounds kinda fishy they wouldn’t. Just me though. I’d take almost anything fca that came in short of fiats just bc I tried to avoid those if I could.

Night edition comes with power folding mirrors that are apparently a big problem nowadays.

Yeah but that still doesn't make sense. Laramies are suppose to come with them as well but now on certain levels they don't. But you can still get a Laramie. Night ED is mostly an appearance package. Whatever electronics that you get with the required level packages are minimal so Ram could still do a NE just without those.

The update itself may be with what it changes or does but all the tech is doing is putting a downloaded file on a usb and putting it in The truck and hitting yes when it asks to update. Writing the software and doing whatever magic happens for the tech to download yes complicated. Actually performing update not so much. Pretty sure warranty doesn’t even require a certification level to just do an update.

You should try givemethevin.com before selling to Carmax. Apparently they offer more than Carmax. Let us know if you try it. I'm curious for when my truck arrives if selling it instead of trading would be worth while.
Nope. I tried that site and they of course offered me initially a good price. Then they had their representative call me the next day and they went down about 10K. I left it on marketplace and a dealer out of dallas flew up to OKC and bought my truck and drove it back. Didn't even bother to haggle me on the price.
