In a normal market, yes. Not right now though. People WILL buy trucks on the lot. And as for RAM getting the money…I believe the manufacturer gets the money from the dealer when it’s invoiced, not when it’s sold.
Yes people will buy trucks, we understand that. But less likely to buy at an inflated number if they do their research. If RAM gets the money right away, then the dealership (depending on cash flow) will have to pay RAM using their line of credit with the bank, that they will pay interest on. So you think in that case dealers would be requesting their pre-sold trucks: #1 to build up cash in the bank from loss of revenue with no inventory & #2 to stop us from constantly bothering them for updates.

Good example of a large local dealer here that has a 2021 Big Horn diesel that is priced at MSRP, wouldn't budge on the price. Also a good amount of incoming 2022s on their site. The truck is still sitting there 3 months later. The market is not the same across all 50 states.

Wasn't sure how RAM's business is conducted and wasn't sure if they provided payment terms whether it was 30-90days or 6 months, or immediately if it is marked as a retailed order.

From all the info available, this seems laughable.

I didn't ask "Amber" for a time frame this morning when I got my VIN but I agree, this seems pretty optimistic. Our Durango took 15 weeks to the day to arrive at the dealership last fall, I'm using that as best case scenario.
