What did you do TO your RAM today?

Finally installed the CJC intercooler guard that has been sitting in my garage for months. Need to get some of the bumper inserts so I can mount the plate without the huge stock plastic chingus.

What bumper inserts will you be using? I was looking for a way to mount the plate if I remove the chin spoiler.

Boost auto heated convex mirrors went on today. They have been sitting on the bench and it is getting to be that time of year. Install was simple. OEM mirrors popped right off, maybe the difference being mine are manual adjust on the poverty stricken Bighorn(think knobs on the 8.4!). Boost could have spared another 7/8" of wiring but it worked. I'm bad with pics but they are just mirrors. Will follow up only if they don't work lol.

Fluid-film treatment earlier in the week. My guy does a fantastic job. Used some high temp coating on the block, trans lines, etc. Tail lights out, drilled a few holes here and there and it's dripping good. Probably should have parked on the grass another cple days.

Does the foam gun really work well for you? Ive tried it a couple times but it didnt seem to do anything (maybe im doing something wronf)
It worked better when I was using a 13hp Honda powered 4000psi MI-T-M power washer. I sold that monster and I use a 2000 psi electric washer now. You can really get more foam and better performance out of them with more PSI. It still works OK enough.

I do an initial power wash rinse, lay down a bunch of foam and then use a bucket of clean water and wash mits. I have a wash mitt on a pole to do the roof. If the foam starts to dry (I try to pick a cloudy day) I lay down more foam and continue bucket washing. Using a pH balanced shampoo reduces water spots greatly

Ahh! Thats probably my issue i have a electric pressure washer probably less than 2k psi. Ill try it with my buddies gas one.

I have a gas pressure washer, prob gonna get rid of it shortly. It's awesome in terms of pressure but the maintenance, gas, etc. is annoying, it's just another thing to maintain vs just plugging in.

Some of the new electric pressure washers are getting close to, if not, 3k PSI. That's pretty solid for most things.

I use a foam cannon with my electric pressure washer, look great. I bought a cheap one off Amazon and used it for 3 years now.

Do you guys have to scrub with those cannons? I have an electric pressure washer with the soap reservoir, nothing that powerful and still need to scrub. If I don't it leaves a film. I figured that with the foam pressure washer mix that it would eliminate that step, but I haven't been successful yet.

I wouldn’t call it scrubbing… but you definitely need to wash with a mitt or something. You can’t just foam it and rinse it, that don’t work.

Yeah well in that case I figure I'll just use the buckets/regular hose and eliminate the pressure washer.
That’s an old tried and true method. Can’t really go wrong there.

The foam cannon is more work because it requires more equipment. I like the foam cannon because it puts the soap on the car thick and clingy, and I can use clean water in a bucket. I can easily keep that water clean by changing it out. I don’t like getting my soap all nasty and continuing to use that dirty soap from the bucket. If I washed my vehicle weekly or even monthly I might not get out the pressure washer.

I figured I would try it kind of like going to those wash yourself places but the problem persists like those places so I guess I'll go back to the old method. I figured with some of these foam cannons the technology would've been better to allow you to forgo the scrubbing. Guess not!
