2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Also did anyone else notice that all the build sheets have a "Special Scheduling Condition VII" line item?
When I first saw this I thought it might be some super special prioritization. But 5,240 of the 23,808 equipment listings I have found include it. So it's not a super VIP prioritization.

So it will be multiple months before I can plug my vin into the Jeep site and see exactly what they are going to build?
More than likely. A loaded Limited or Laramie have a lot of silicon in them and I don’t have to explain the current silicon climate. If you get it sooner rather than later, you hit the truck lottery. Otherwise you’re just playing the truck lottery like the rest of us, waiting for our number to hit.

An upholstery shop that knows what they are doing would be well aware of the materials needed to re-cover the seats.
Good luck finding someone in upholstrey shop - or anywhere else - that really knows what they are doing - Old farts retired and most kids don't know / don't care - there are exceptions, but hard to find, expensive, and long que.

Well, found out today my truck made it through production, final inspection and factory installed options (spray in bedliner and side steps) and has been in storage since 9/18. No ship date given. I'm hoping it will move over to shipping and get a ship date when production starts back up on Monday. Bright white, Cummins, Laramie 2500 CC 4x4 with Level A and Off road package.

I found this and it kinda makes sense. I assume they are shifting things like crazy to maximize production to fill rail cars.

“It's an internal code that is applied when the schedulers or another employee at Chrysler (Who has the authority) schedule an order when there isn't allocation or to give an order priority in scheduling.”

What are the ranges of VIN? Is it a mix or is it later sequences?
Its kind of all over the place. But the dip in the 30,000-40,000 sequence number range is interesting. That seems like it's around the time they shuffled up the equipment groups and available options.

Reorder and hope for better build time - I had understood that they only started building the 2022's recently and there are still 2021's in the line to be finished - current dealer estimate is 8-12 weeks (????) - local dealer still waiting on 2 high end 2021's with VIN but no Build Sheet yet. See if they can Dealer swap for something more acceptable - there are 2022s hitting some dealers that are not sold - as well as late 2021's showing "Being Built" or "In Transit" on dealer sites - mostly 2500's but a few 3500's - maybe they can find a 2021 that a dealer would be glad to swap. Or decide Black is easier to keep clean, the Laramie's brown interior is pretty light.
Best, Ed

The surge before and after would give some merit to the explanation I found for the special scheduling condition. Especially if the dip did coincide with the equipment change up.

Truck is in JB sent off for spray liner. So should be shipping soon. Better to buy it, Find or order what I wanted and then sell this one. I don't think with the market as it is I'll have a problem selling this one. We have a Black on Black Ram now (keeping it) and wanted a Perl White and Mountain Brown to go with it. It's just sad that buying a $80,000 truck and they can't get it right.

Just saw a window sticker of a 2500 at a dealership in NM. It's a limited and lists a Uconnect 5 with 12" screen and 9 Alpine speakers instead of 17 HK??? Is this correct?
I believe it’s right. When I ordered my limited 6/14, the 17 HK was part of the limited level 1 package, not standard equipment. Here’s a snip of my window sticker:

Interesting. My order placed 07/27 has a VIN 36664. ('22 2500 Laramie)I can't find any information on my VIN on any of the search sites listed here. ???

I feel some of your pain. When I got my window sticker recently, I discovered my truck was ordered with wheel-to-wheel chrome steps, not the power fold that come standard on the limited. Ram doesn’t give a discount for that option change either.

Like you, it’s gonna be a different look. Wife was less than thrilled too!

Well my day got better I texted my salesman that I had a build sheet and he 1 uped me I sure lucked out and got a great salesman

"Yes sir it has been built and is in transit status with an eta to Lawrenceville Ga rail yard of 10/16/21.
I will update you next Friday.
Have a great weekend"
Edward
Damn I wish my salesman would tell me where my truck is. I get more info out of ram chat than him

Pricing on my windows sticker is off from all of my POC's I received. Even the one I received 2 weeks ago. Ordered before a few of the price increases and just after one by less than 24 hours!
Window sticker should be printed with the current prices not the POC price
