2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

My dealer just called and said I am in C status and that her rep. tells her that is better D, which i was in. I told her from what I know from this thread it is worse than D. She was pretty adamant that it was a good thing. She said she had a vehicle (not a ram HD, I take it) go to C then was built the following week. The picture she sent me shows a status date of 6.21, which is the day that I ordered, so C status make sense for that date. Ram Chat had the same "D" status canned response. I am not holding

i ordered 7/30 , 22' ram HD 2500 cummins laramie ccsb , rep was away for 2 weeks , finally got my build submitted and told it was "good" but will be delayed because of the sunroof , dealer says they're not sure how long it will delay things .. anyone have an order in with a sunroof also delayed ? wondering what other dealers have told them

Damn. My 3500 Laramie CC SRW loaded w/sunroof ordered May 07 is still D. Maybe I should have ordered a mega cab again???
I HAD to have a MC, as soon as I seen a Mega in person I was sold! No more CC's again.

How big is your dealer? not saying this has anything really to do with the status but I've read that larger dealers tend to have a bit more pull than Ma/Pa shops.. I had started an order with my local (small town but big enough to be an authorized CDJR dealer) but they were very weird when I first ordered so I hadn't given them a deposit so I left and went to my current dealer. I have really enjoyed my experience here and with this being my very first New Ordered truck I wanted a reputable dealership.

If they made a MEGA CUMMINS POWERWAGON I'd be all over it! I comprised and went powerwagon

No more gassers for me, now after owning a diesel, I won't go back. Although I just had a 15' Challenger scat straight piped (600+HP...OH BOY!) that I sold early for this new truck.

If you ask and they won't give a contract or guaranteed price in writing signed by either by a dealer employee/manager then there is a very a probability they have "wiggle" room to attempt to navigate you to paying the "new" price.

Disclaimer: Most states have similar tort and contractual laws but not all; also in most cases the state where the dealer is physically located at is how one would determine venue

Did you have a blower or nitrous on it??

No, but the driver side head light was open for air intake. car was loud as hell too! We really hated to get rid of it but it just wasn't a practical rig. Here's a pic of the two that I sold early to my dealer as my trades. And it was a manual tranny (WHICH I WILL MISS DEARLY!!)

I just ordered my 2500 Laramie CC gas last week. While I was there my dealer told me the more electronic and safety stuff you add the longer the wait time. Same goes with sunroofs for some reason he said. I did get the ram box so I may be in the long wait game as well. Those statements made the decision for me not to add the rest of the stuff I wanted. Obviously now time will tell and I am telling myself do not expect the truck until February. I saw someone post that the plant will only be down for a week. How does one get that information?

Well I did a thing today. In the market for a 5th wheel toy hauler and only had a 2500 mega cab (yes I know people pull over weight with no problems but consider me mr safety). Decided to look at 3500’s with the high used car market. Local dealer only had Longhorns and didn’t care for the interior. They have been trying to get a quote on a custom build but still waiting on system to be updated. Last night located another local dealer that has a 2022 3500 HO long bed Laramie in transit. Looked at window sticker and noticed it had 95% of what I would have custom ordered. Wasn’t my first choice color (white) but it at least the sport package. Went by dealer today to work out trade in and signed on paperwork. Now waiting for the truck to clear customs and get in the train to Utah.

The big thing it’s missing is blind spot monitor but looks like that can be added afterwards ( will be messaging Jimmy for the harnesses) and the 5th wheel prep ( need to ask dealer on price to install).

Should have the truck in 4 weeks time. Nervous and excited. Thanks for all the help on others messages with their experience in custom building and the mess with new packages due to chip shortages.

I have a down payment on what sounds like the same truck: 2022 3500 Laramie DRW with HO diesel. I was concerned about the blind spot monitor too and ask the salesman if it had it. He told me it did but I don't think he knows what he is talking about (not the brightest bulb in the chandelier). Problem is, nowhere can I find the 2022 options package that actually lists the blind spot monitor in the package. You said that it can be added afterwards. How is that accomplished? Is that done through the RAM dealership or is it something that can be added on by a 3rd party? If you know, can you please post? Thanks.
