2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

My dealer just called and said I am in C status and that her rep. tells her that is better D, which i was in. I told her from what I know from this thread it is worse than D. She was pretty adamant that it was a good thing. She said she had a vehicle (not a ram HD, I take it) go to C then was built the following week. The picture she sent me shows a status date of 6.21, which is the day that I ordered, so C status make sense for that date. Ram Chat had the same "D" status canned response. I am not holding my breath.

Wtf?! I live in Cleveland, Ohio; Lordstown was that old Chevy Cruze plant that is now Lordstown motors and they got that big scandal going on. What is she smoking? HD’s are built in Mexico
Hahahaha I know, like I said it’s just a whole other reason not to trust them... the person read it all in one sentence too. “The plant “Saltillo Assembly Plant Mexico” is located in Lordstown, OH. “ I just giggled and agreed with them haha

It is my understanding that C status just means the order is confirmed. They seem to go in alphabetical order.

Update, est. ship date changed once again, from 9/23 to 10/6, still in D1. I'm not worried about getting it fast, I'm just glad at least it is getting status changes and not staying stagnant.

C would be a move backwards...

Scheduled:
C – Tentative schedule. Your order is "subfirm". The plant can see the order at this point but it's not fully committed to building as the supplier may or may not be able to get parts to the plant to build the vehicle.
D – Firm schedule: serial number assigned. Firm order. Your order now has a name instead of a number:
D1 – Gate line: unit sequenced for production, est. ship date assigned.
The date is set for your truck to be built. The plant knows when it should have parts sequenced for building and it should start to be built within 48 hours of the date set.
D2 - It's going to be built. The computers are being programmed, materials are being sequenced, framing is about to occur.

For me, waiting to spend $75k is coming rather easy.
Not for me, I cant wait to spend my money. My 2020 is in the body shop for a while now. Just got the front-end estimate to get it fixed, only $25,315.31. Think the rear end is going to be around 10K. Not sure yet if they are going to total it or put me in the waiting game on parts to fix it. Does anyone want to take bets on what is delivered first?

I am currently in a 1500 Tradesmen rental and I really got used to the perks of my Laramie. I also really need a 2500 or 3500 to pull my camper. The only thing I can say positive about this truck is it gets great gas mileage.

I am going to wait until next week to contact Ram Chat to see if I have been moved to D1

So now sounds like Mexico is in OHIO? And the plant is still rocking around the OOOOOOOOOO. Glad these people stay on top of there game. Wonder if the chips will now be found under the pillow tomorrow?

Price Protection has to be added to the initial order when it is placed. With all the current changes and price increases, I would think
only dealers that had a high enough price mark-up would be able to hold order prices without the Price Protection Option. Not many
dealers out there that will loose money on a sale to keep a customer happy!

When my dealer updated me with new POC's that showed price increases, he told me not to worry because he always adds the no-charge
Price Protection Option. The only time it was not going to protect me is when my 2021 order got converted to a 2022 order. I was lucky that
the order got converted back to a 2021 order after a large fleet order was cancelled near the end of the 2021 model year.

Price Protection is a option offered in Canada and USA, it is shown in the North American FCA Sales Code Schedule.
How can I confirm I’m locked in? My dealer will only say by mouth I have nothing to worry about price wise.

At least Saltillo, or Lordstown if you prefer, is only scheduled to be down 1 week.
Thank you! I've been searching for information on when it will be back up and running. Even if its just a week or 2 that helps ease some anxiety.

I they are okay telling it to you by mouth than it should not be a problem them sending you an email confirming the same! Talk is Cheap. I had my dealer confirm via email. I don't trust any promises a vendor tells me verbally. That person could be gone the next day and you have nothing.

What’s this world coming too, I weep for the future…
