Production at Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant in Mexico and Brampton Assembly Plant in Ontario also will halt. Saltillo makes the Ram 1500 Classic as well as the 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 heavy-duty trucks. Brampton assembles the Dodge Charger and Challenger muscle cars as well as the Chrysler 300 sedan. That's from the Detroit News, no dates or info here.

Wonder what that does to us D1 guys. Does it push us back to D status?

My 3500 Mega Limited has a ship date of Oct 1 and Sandi said it would be about 6 weeks for delivery… she also said 14-16 weeks from when I ordered July 14 and so far she’s bang on!
D1, plant shutdown.

Either CSX or Norfolk Southern. I know of ways to track a train but the train consist would inevitably get separated and cut into other trains at various points and I don't know how someone could track an individual autorack, or know which autorack a particular truck is riding on for that matter. Dealers can probably see the last hub that a train has passed through on their computers.
The truck is assigned to a railcar and stays on it for the entire trip.

Well we all knew this was coming. Lets hope it’s just a week idle and not 3. Congrats to everyone who has a built truck squeak out of the plant on a train before they shut down.
I mean for the guys who are in D1, the parts are there. Why can’t they build the trucks?

The response i got yesterday from ram chat was that all the parts needed have been received and i should be entering the build process in a couple of weeks. Dealer still says im in D status with no ETA.
Def seems like if all parts have been received then they should be building those trucks. but im sure theres a lot more to it than that. Meanwhile im still driving my trade hoping the trade value doesnt tank too bad by the time i get the new one.
